More nervous this game than I was the previous two Derby's we've had this year.

I think we are pretty much at full strength so there should really be no excuses for 3 points. Although Victory do seem to have found a bit of form as late. I still think we'll be too strong but I'd like to have a back 4 instead of 3.

I've never been more toey for a derby before. Dunno why this one.

Absolutely terrified!

Probably because without looking at the odds I'd say we are favourites and that doesn't happen too many times against Victory.

We're becoming the hunted instead of the hunters. That's why people are hating us, Jealously is rife.

Now I think about it, it's because of #thisisourcity. The last 2 derby games went a long way towards proving our hashtag and a win tonight making it 3 in 2 months would really hammer it home. A lose however and we are back on equal terms.

That and its my young fellas first derby and his excitement is rubbing off on me lol

Derby football, anything can happen, not overly or underly confident - thinking a draw after our recent form.

Would love for Bruce to light up the wing and get us moving quickly forward. When Bruno has to do too much heavy lifting through the middle we get slowed down.

Had enough chances just couldn't bury one. Bruno really should have nailed the one from 6 yards that he blazed over.

Just got home. The long drive back to Geelong allows me to stew a bit and reflect which is always nice.

Thoughts (in no particular order)

- The pass to the Victory player who then crossed the ball in when Victory scored (first goal for them), was that player offside? Looked offside live but we didn't get replays.
- Was Berisha offside for the 2nd goal? (I was down the other end so couldn't tell)
- Victory came to play very early and were great at pressuring us at the back and it really didn't help having a back 3 and Jakobson out. Kilkenny ended up basically playing CB for most of the night as the pressure was good by Victory
- CAN WE STOP PLAYING A BACK 3! FFS!
- Berisha probably should have scored 4 goals.
- Cahill should have scored those 2 headers in the second half and Bruno missed that sitter too which hurts
- In all honesty both teams probably could/should have scored 5+ goals each, some poor finishing by both
- Late, before and after Victory scored the winner, we turned the ball over with some absolutely terribly slow passing in the back. Just not good enough.
- Victory fans (clearly more members than us) were loud and overall pretty good. Had no issues at the ground.
- City Active seemed very quiet tonight, much quieter than the cup final and the previous weeks. Very stop start for the whole game.
- Cahill as a forward >>>> Cahill as a midfielder.
- We played 1 too many midfielders and one less defender. Would have liked to see Muscat start in place of either Colazo.
- CAN WE STOP PLAYING A BACK 3! FFS!
- The dickhead Melbourne City fan from the Yarra end (Didn't see who exactly) who threw a half full bottle of coke at the players when the scuffle down that end happened can GAGF! Idiot deserves a ban.

That's about all. I think overall Victory played better but both teams had plenty of opportunity to score. Our inexperience down back really hurt.
