You my friend have no f**king idea if you think he was over-rated.

The guy could play almost anywhere on the ground and against any sort of opponent and beat them week in week out.

you are such a tool Redlegs5..................I haven't seen one sensible post from you ever.

You've named names..........tell us why Hird, Harvey, Koutoufides & Sumich are over-rated.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. You can take the $1000, or.....the mystery box.

Who on earth can say Carey was overrated? I saw him play from 96 onwards and he was a deadset champ.

Idiot. (About Neitz not Carey)

For mine
Chad Fletcher
Dustin Fletcher
Chris Tarrant (Though he isn't really rated anymore)

So you think he was a crap player? because thats the only way he could be over-rated, I haven't heard many people saying he was a champion of the game and such.

At the risk of being a numbnut, can I throw this name into the equation...

Glenn Archer

Gets a lot of big wraps, Shinboner of the century etc, yet he has never won a B&F and was lucky to win his Norm Smith. No doubting his courage but there have been far better players at North during his career.

Also, if we are talking true legends of the game, can i throw up...

Tony Lockett.

Always think that Jason Dunstall lost out in the whole "who is the better full forward" debate. I reckon Plugger got some very good press during his time with the Swans, given that he almost killed a couple of players on the field and was a terrible influence at St Kilda. Dunstall always performed in big games and encountered some shocking injuries late in his career.

While I'm there throw these names into the mix

Gavin Wanganeen
Corey McKernan
Ben Hart
Adam Goodes

Great players but champions? Nope.

stupidity at its finest

think your mind has blocked out the years between 1997-2003 before his knees went bad, he was UNSTOPPABLE

he now runs around with no cartilage in his knees and still has a big influence week in week out, roger james has the same injury as macca and look where he is now

Craig Kelly, Michael Christian, Jason McCartney, Ronnie Burns, Scott Hodges, Lance Whitnall, Kent Kingsley, Matthew Primus, Josh Francou, Jason Heatley, Chris Bond, Justin Murphy, Ben Holland....... the list could go on and on.

The 1360 goals weren't enough for you Scribe2?

Double figures 22 times, 7 goals or more in a game 72 times. Both tallies a long way ahead of anyone else.

Most devastating footballer I've ever seen.
