Terrible career move for Thybulle though. If he wants his next contract to be bigger he probably needs to take more then 2 shots a game

For Grant Williams he got more then he deserved but I think Utah will have bumped that interest up. He defends taller then he is but not great on the boards. Feel like they now need to find a C that feasts on the defensive boards and that can pass the ball a bit. No idea who that is going to be though
Doubt he even gets to the Mavs but

Thybulle will get as many shots on the Mavs a anywhere else. He has nothing to his game except knocking down the occasional corner 3. The onus is on him to get more consistent. He will at least get a lot of open looks.

That was probably one of the best deals we could’ve had for him.

Not much of a loss let’s be honest.

Don’t know what he provides for the Mavs, the mavs need size but go for an undersized 4.

But I wish him the best in Dallas.

Harsh. Defensive hard nosed player. Who before pissing off Butler was lauded for his intensity and versatility. Not to forget being "batman" for restricting Jokic in a game, which was eaten up by his fans.

Thats what he is for now but maybe he can become a bit better on the offensive end? Seems like a surrender move is all

Disagree, i have watched 90% of his NBA games and olympic games. At the moment he is a slightly overrated defender with no offensive game what so ever. He is a decent athlete so maybe he can become a decent cutter off of Luka but if he wants to get paid it will come down to improving his shooting. He just needs to become a 3&D guy because at the moment he is almost unplayable.

Celts fans have way too much online.

Lol at brogdon williams and firsts for lillard even being mentioned hypothetical. May be worst package in league, even ignoring the $ ramifications.

First grant was a legend now he’s rubbish. He’s a versatile solid defender who can hit open 3s. Which Dallas creates more of than anyone.

Thybulle needs to be unlocked as a cutter and screener, and in the open floor. He’s a game changer on the other end.

Depends on the firsts, if Brodgon and Williams went elsewhere to other contenders and those assets plus Bostons first to Portland is probably as good of an offer as the Heats.

Brogdon and Williams can fall apart any time. The clips need a point and cancelled the deal.

1sts involving a team with Tatum and Brown long term aren’t worth much.

Lillard is not going to Boston.

We needed to clear the cap space plus getting a couple more semi decent assets for potential future trades.

I will miss Batman, but it is a good move for both parties.

Grant Williams is a player Celtics had a fun, love/hate relationship with.

I liked him myself and believe he will be a very decent contributor off the bench (I aasume) for The Mavs. He is a bit of a pest, really likes to needle/get under the skin of opposition players. I will miss him for that reason alone, he trolled/punked Embiid and the Sixers every time we played them in the playoffs, esp this year !

But he will have the occassional game (not often mind you) where he absolutely loses his mojo shooting wise and puts up brick after brick and makes dumbs plays which made me wish we could demote him to the G League forever !

But as I say he is a fun guy to have around the place and I think will be a decent glue guy for the Mavs (his style of humour and wackiness like dressing up as Batman will help with team chemistry)

Seems like Pascal Siakam could be heading for a trade. Hasnt publically announced it but their is a rift between him and rest of the playing group it seems. It wouldnt surprise me if Atlanta move on the glut they have at SF for him with Deandre Hunter being the main cog in the deal
Not surprised his usage rate is at Lillard levels I reckon

Williams is getting 4/53 ... might be closer to $13m. Not sure how it works if they traded him under the qualifying offer or it is a sign & trade.

No he was right the first time, $6.2 mil exception. Can't remember if it's related to the cap hold or not.

His lasting legacy in boston is pissing off butler

Question is

Is Lillard demanding Miami Heat a bigger bitch move then KD to Golden State?

I think so in a way

In a tiny way only because Heat over achieving the last 2 years.

KD to Golden State is more akin to demanding a trade to championship era Kobe Lakers or Bird Celtics or the Bulls after the first 3peat but with Jordan not playing baseball.

Trying to illustrate wanting to jump on board an already dominant roster. Heat are not that and probably never will be unless they trade for Lillard and even then they are still on paper a level below 3 or 4 teams.

I think so, KD left as a free agent, Dame is being a selfish Diva demanding to only be traded to one specific team.
