Bulls keep getting mentioned and I’m just so confused, to what end? Giving up more assets to cap out at a very old team that if lucky might be a 2nd round exit?

I don’t love the Jrue fit with Butler and Bam. Think they are better off holding firm.
I think its a good fit because Jrue can really play without the ball also. I know people want Heat to have like Senor Sharpshooter at PG to knock down some 3s but none of those players are joining Heat if we are being brutally honest.

In regards to holding firm, im not sure they can. If they dont get better they get left behind

Yeah I don’t mind it, certainly makes them better but not sure it’s as ideal as a few other landing spots for him.

I just hope he doesn’t go to the Bulls because that would be so boring.

Hmm. A odd one

I got absolutely no idea what Suns are doing with that one. Nurkic okay but what the heck do they plan on doing with those other 3 bums that got added in. Seems a very small return for Ayton especially when your salary cap relief is non existent too.

Blazers definetly got fair value for Lillard with that deal. Jrue can be moved on for 3 draft picks very easily, Ayton is a upgrade and better fit going forward. I think Jrue to Miami Heat now seems quite likely

As for Bucks, Lillard solves the number 1 weakness they have. 3 point shooting. They will miss Holidays defense but the gains outweigh the losses for sure.

I think Bucks are now title favorites again

All up it feels like Suns got a reamed so Blazers/Bucks could prosper and do a deal. A very clear loser in this deal

3 point shooting is their weakness? 4th most makes, top 10 in percentage last year.

Biggest win for them is having someone to go to when their offense breaks down.

I certainly feel like it was when Giannis needs a bailout if that makes sense. Giannis being able to kick it out to Lillard to bomb a 3 will be a big gain and upgrade

Yeah I agree, it wasnt three point shooting they needed but in general just more offense. Sometimes the Bucks can get stagnant and Giannis cant do it all. Adding another big time scorer will get them out of those rough offensive spells. Plus you can now sit Giannis and still have a legitimate big time scorer on the court. Middleton wasnt enough.

Plus it gives them a closer. In close games it's tough to go to Giannis because as good as he is, he's not a shooter so he will try to get to the bucket and then he can be fouled and sure in the clutch he's usually pretty good from the line but in general he's not a great FT shooter.

In the playoffs this gives the Bucks a go to closer and if you double Dame and he kicks it to a downhill Gianni, well, goodnight.

It's a big move for the Bucks and surely this makes them favourites next season.

Jim Butler wants the NBA to investigate the Bucks for tampering.

Jimmy sounds like he is offended.

Jimmy just sooking because they didn't land him. Tampering happens plenty, as if these guys aren't chatting behind the scenes. Look at FA, as soon as it happens multi year, multi million $ deals are done in seconds. Impossible without "tampering"

Pretty sure tampering is skipping legal communication channels eg Bucks staff talking to Lillard directly about a trade.

Are they allowed to tell Lillards people they plan to sign xyz, extend xyz etc? Could that constitute tampering revealing their plans to outside sources?

Regardless that would happen whether rules or not

It's been reported that Lillard's camp went to the Bucks and the Nets, not the other way around.

Doubt Portland would have a problem with it at all, they wanted to make the trade now, just not with Miami.

The Heat crying 'tampering' when they ostensibly have no dog in this fight is odd. Of course they do have dog in this fight, they just wanted to land Lillard cheaply by wedging Portland. Kinda hilarious now that it has backfired that they start accusing others.
