You know how I was telling you my Carlton supporting bestie has lost his fight? Didn't take long to recover. After 1 win in a row he sent me this:

seriously needs a disturbing content warning, such a repulsive thing in every way imaginable

Some lovely melts regarding team selection going on now.
  • Dow dropped again after being the sub and getting no game time
  • E Curnow and Hewett playing over Dow
  • JSOS coming back after doing nothing
  • Pitonett injured again after signing a 5 year deal
  • Binns playing is seen as a win (but there has been no media publications on a debut so will probably be an emergancy)
  • Honey over Dow
  • JSOS over Young

And they're coming off a bye 😆

I'm not a big hater, but I have this warm fuzzy red wine feeling when Carlton are miserable and tearing themselves apart. It just feels so right.

I should be better but after we ruined their finals hopes last year I waved my finger at them and shouted "no finals for you" and laughed at the absurdity of it all the way home.

Anyway here's to them being crap forever.

there are reports internal PWC pressure is building against luke sayers (not yet clear whether this is: 1. a finger pointing exercise; 2. convenient scapegoating of an ex-employee or 3. there is credible evidence of criminal wrongdoing) .... every chance he is gone from carlton before voss is

Pop Quiz:

Michael Voss (142), Simon Goodwin (141) and Chris Fagan (141) have all coached a similar number of games.

Who has the worst coaching record of those three?

It’s not even close. Both Goodwin (57.8%) and Fagan (56.74) have won more than they’ve lost. Voss is a lowly 41.55% - Fourth worst of the current batch of coaches, which coincidentally (or not) is where Carlton is currently on the ladder

Carlton are in football club purgatory.

They are perennially terrible, never a threat to go close to winning anything, but sure are capable of their annual month of impressive form belting the rabble of the competition which is enough to ensure the drastic changes needed ever come, nor the elite level draft picks.

They will never cease to stop raising their hopes, and then always bring them crashing right back down in an underwhelming enough fashion that it never spurs change.

9th to 13th on the ladder is a good look on them. I like it.

I’m torn tbh, on one hand I want Carlton to win a few then fall agonisingly short again like last year ( vossy might get the extension happy days for all) and on the other hand we got their second round pick so beneficial for them to slide down the ladder.

I'd rather we get the better pick & they slide down the ladder. It's a win win. Their fans will be just as disappointed.

Listening to Docherty on AFL 360 tonight he sounds so confident that their bad form is behind them and it's all systems go. Imagine if they lose to WCE in 2 weeks 😂
Imagine if they beat Port this week and we win.
