Good analysis

western media are so determined to portray islamic countries as unstable dictatorships lead by rabid dogs baying for blood, and israel as the measured, stabilizing force that wants to minimise civilian casualties. but really the opposite is true as we're seeing time and time again.

Got 400 metres over the border and boom, super experienced Hezbollah guys using Russian ATGMs tear them apart.

Just like 2006.

They're just kids too. Not literal kids, like so many of those dead Palestinians but its still a ****en waste.

They fill their children full of hate to fight an old man's war
And die upon the road to peace

Israel is a danger to the world right now, needs to be reined in, but the US has a demented dotard as President in name only, and is a month out from an election.

Given the power of the Israel lobby in Washington, they have a free hand. We're closer to nuclear weapon use (by Israel) than at any time since 1945 imo.

Not really.

Most of these countries are still cuckolds to the US military complex and it's massive web of alliances.

Russia won't do a damn thing. Neither will anyone else.

Israel don't need to drop a nuke, they know nobody is going to go really overboard on them whilst.

It's not as if we are going to see carpet bombing of US airforce bases are we? Russia would have far more to worry about than a clapped out Ukraine defense force if that were the case.

Russia is currently blowing up NATO equipment on its own soil, the old rules died a while back.

Will they directly attack Israel in response? No, they're not stupid.

But they will respond.

Netanyahu has gone from touting his relationship with Putin to this - that's an immense change.

I can see them using a battlefield nuke in Lebanon on Hezbollah position to re-establish "deterrence". Not saying they will, but I can see it.

No, but we're likely to see the kind of stuff that happened at Incirilik. That's how you'd do it.

They're actually on their third Ukranian Army now - they smashed the other two, including all the fancy shmancy Western gear, just as I said they would.

What's the long game for Israel? completely wipe out Palestine? Then what....try and take on Lebanon and Iran. Fighting wars on multiple fronts doesn't seem like a sustainable war model.

Generational deterrence I suspect.

An overreaction so harsh that Iran and its proxies think twice again before hanggliding into music festivals armed with AK47’s to kidnap and kill their kids..

Like murdering hundreds of thousands of civilians and putting your legitimacy as a state in question? I think its already happened.

Extremely childish and stupid way of looking at the situation. The Hamas fighters who carried out the October 7th attacks did so because it was their last chance to do something, anything to upset the status quo that allowed Israel to exist with a giant concentration camp under its control, to slowly starve, humiliate and exploit the captive Palestinian population of Gaza, and to institute Apartheid upon the West Bank. It was a direct response to the Abraham accords where many of Palestine's neighbours who used to uphold a measure of solidarity formally turned their back on them by normalizing relations with Israel.

I have to ask you, if that were you, living in a de facto concentration camp where you constantly hear the buzzing of Israeli surveillance drones, where there's never enough to eat because Israel has determined the exact minimal amount of food they can allow into Gaza that will keep the population alive but starving, you're not even allowed to fish or swim in the mediterranean off your coast because if you enter the water you'll be bombed or shot at by the Israelis, you've lost multiple family members and friends your age to the random acts of terrorism that Israeli politicians refer to as "mowing the lawn" where they periodically enter the city to murder your people indiscriminately, and if you're ever allowed to leave, which is already unlikely, by the Israelis who control your borders, you will certainly never be allowed to come home? Would you feel particularly desperate not to upset Israel, for fear that they might start abusing you?

Perhaps their mistake was underestimating just how ****ing inhuman Israel has become, I'll grant you that. I just don't know how you could look at that status quo, if indeed you knew any of this before shooting your mouth off, and determined that anyone who were forced to live under it would feel like it was a status quo worth preserving.

Same as it’s ever been, more land.

Did you know that Israelis have a term called “mowing the lawn”? It’s a grotesque phrase used by them about killing and removing people closest to their boarder. They want a broader safe zone around their boarder.

They want to drag their allies into the war…. and their allies, including Australia seem to be going along with it.

For the life of me I can’t understand how a country with only 9.3 million people has so much power.
