I can't see how it can be read any other way. Israel are obviously set on a course of action. They've been "preparing for it for months". They are frustrated by the fact that the opposition isn't squaring up for the face to face fight.

Al-Arabiya TV reporting 4 soldiers dead/ 20 seriously injured after they were ambushed.
Got 400 metres over the border and boom, super experienced Hezbollah guys using Russian ATGMs tear them apart.
Just like 2006.
gee, I wonder which of Syria's neighbours could be unprovokedly attacking them to pull them into a regional war.
Israel is a danger to the world right now, needs to be reined in, but the US has a demented dotard as President in name only, and is a month out from an election.
Given the power of the Israel lobby in Washington, they have a free hand. We're closer to nuclear weapon use (by Israel) than at any time since 1945 imo.
Not really.
Most of these countries are still cuckolds to the US military complex and it's massive web of alliances.
Russia won't do a damn thing. Neither will anyone else.
Israel don't need to drop a nuke, they know nobody is going to go really overboard on them whilst.
It's not as if we are going to see carpet bombing of US airforce bases are we?
Russia would have far more to worry about than a clapped out Ukraine defense force if that were the case.
What's the long game for Israel? completely wipe out Palestine? Then what....try and take on Lebanon and Iran. Fighting wars on multiple fronts doesn't seem like a sustainable war model.
Like murdering hundreds of thousands of civilians and putting your legitimacy as a state in question? I think its already happened.Generational deterrence I suspect.
An overreaction so harsh that Iran and its proxies think twice again before hanggliding into music festivals armed with AK47’s to kidnap and kill their kids..
Extremely childish and stupid way of looking at the situation. The Hamas fighters who carried out the October 7th attacks did so because it was their last chance to do something, anything to upset the status quo that allowed Israel to exist with a giant concentration camp under its control, to slowly starve, humiliate and exploit the captive Palestinian population of Gaza, and to institute Apartheid upon the West Bank. It was a direct response to the Abraham accords where many of Palestine's neighbours who used to uphold a measure of solidarity formally turned their back on them by normalizing relations with Israel.Generational deterrence I suspect.
