2nd Eagles game is actually at Blundstone.
Somehow more reassuring at this point... our fortress!

FIFYSurely they didn’t say that. Swans currently going at 53% disposal efficiency and still have triple the inside 50s. They’ll clean that up and be up by 7 or 8 goals at three-quarter time (maybe).
You actually can’t say conclusively something so entirely unknown and projected based on just opinion.
Alright mate, nothing prior to this round counts, whatever...I have not seen us put in the effort that the Eagles have today. This is the bare minimum they are doing and they are now going toe-to-toe with a very good team. I can conclusively say that they will finish above us.

They do have a much more senior core still and some quality key position defenders.Their have a certain desperation that we just lack. All the other bottom teams do. I honestly have no idea how we get that back (I'm assuming we also had it, but lost it at some point).
Yeah, I don't even mean it as an insult to our players. I imagine that hunger has just been beaten out of them over time. I don't think I'd be any better. They do have a much more senior core still and some quality key position defenders.
So that helps.
Currently it’s the Eagles. Also currently there are a lot of rounds to go so you cannot say conclusively what the ladder will look like at the end of the season. This is not opinion. This is fact. Who’s currently last on the ladder?
Swannies got their act together now.Everyone here thinking the eagles will smash us
They forget we were belting freo at half time a few weeks ago...
Eagles will still lose by over 7 goals

H2H you just don’t get it.Also their opening few rounds have been marginally easier than North’s yet even including today their percentage is worse. They may finish this round with a win and go ahead of us on the ladder, at least for a week, but it’s weird to see so many firm opinions about how much better off they are based on only one incomplete game. That’s football media level of recency bias.

If the eagles win I’m gonna die

No way in hell are they better off than us but so far in this game they have put in the type of performance I would be expecting of us at this stage. They are getting outplayed and will most likely be blown away in the 4th quarter but they are refusing to go away despite everything.
It's just bemusing that the goal posts on here keep shifting from "we'll win 6-8 games" to "we'll be more competitive but tire" to "well of course we got smashed what did you expect to happen?!"
