not to be to worried.......heard that the new CW network in the states will be picking it up from fox and producing the 5th series......as the station is programed towards teen and young adult viewers

I really do doubt it. Also Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson only recently split so i don't really think they'd want to be working together too much longer.

In some ways i'm sad it's ending because i've always loved it, but at the same time i'm glad. Series like this have a habit of going on too long, which ends up ruining how good they were in the first place.

Anyway, i can't wait for the finale.

hmm... not sure what happens here, but on One Tree Hill two of the stars married and divorced and the show continues.

They both would have signed on for X ammount of seasons at the very start (usually around 5-6 seasons) and if this contract continues over to a new network they can't really do anything about it.

Yeah, you're right. Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush still continued working on after the divorce.

This will be the show's last season. Josh says this is the best time for it to end. The cast are also getting numerous other job offers so they are all moving on.

This was a top show in S1. But since then it has gone downhill, the storylines just don't appeal to me as much as they used to.

But overall, it has been a good show IMO.

We've waited over 3 years to see Ryan's Dad. They have mentioned him in the past but that is it. Seeing Ryan in the same room as his Dad was worth watching.

Its a shame its gone, i loved the show for god knows how long now its very sad. I hope they kill of Kirsten before the end, she brings nothing to the show, all she does is ask everyone for a drink.

But as one show falls the other rises, bring 'Life as we know it' prime time!

I watched the first and second seasons of The OC, wihtout fail, never missing an episode, I lost interest in the third season, and haven't bothered to watch more than a couple of episodes in Season 4..

It doesn't have long to go before it finishes, like, 5 or 6 episodes or something...

It's a pity, the show started off very well, and well, just hasn't been as good since Season 1...

Losing Mischa (Marissa Cooper for those playing at home) hurt a lot...

It was pretty poor before that though, I mean, from the very few episodes I have seen in Season 3, it was quite bad then..

Apparently, Willa Holland (Caitlin Cooper for those playing at home) is good for the show.

Well the writer-producer, Josh Schwartz, wrote the entire first and second season's. In season three he only wrote about 25% of the episodes.....which may be why the show declined a bit.

This season started off well but has fallen away in the last few weeks.

I saw the first few episodes of this season, the last one I saw (off memory)... was when Ryan and Taylor fell off the ladder while decorating, and both went into a coma, and things were mixed up and they had to fix them...

I have no idea what's going now though

And your point about Josh is very true, although, I think the second season wasn't as good as the first season, because he had to try and introduce new characters, which is not always easy, e.g - DJ, Zach, Alex and Lindsay (who weren't around for very long)... so, the second season was going to be tough, with the new love interests for each of the characters.

I hope the show ends well, if I hear good reviews, I might start watching again.
