Medhurst is a genius, and as I've posted in The Library, it's because he's a reader - helps him read the play - and a very clever boy.
Could he be captain material? He's unselfish, mature, composed and an inspiringly good player. He's also excellent in front of the camera. And he's the right age - could give the younger leaders time to develop.
Who honesty thought the Taz trade would turnout like this?
Medders on his own has proved the deal to be a success but to throw in Ben Reid who shows promise.
It's not about kicking goals for Medders anymore, even though he still kicks them, its' his influence on the game.

thought Medalhurst was absolutely sensational yesterday afternoon, but funny enough he was only named in the best by the herald sun...??? for some reason, the papers just see goals as a good game, but he set up goals...everyone is saying that he has been shit over the last month, but if the "experts" played closer attention they would know that he has been playing a completely different role since Dawes has come into the team!

Medders reads the play beautifully, he's a very smart bloke. He spots up targets in the forward line that most others don't see. He'd have to be trade of the century.
i would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you, to the newly created Paul Medhurst fan club group..I love this boy and his goals, marks and celebrations, so lets all celebrate the skunk. surely you will hold no grudge against me due to myself being a saint, but dont be fooled, i truly am i medders fan! P.S. How BS was that non-goal decision. I've seen the footage a few times since the game and it was definitely a goal! Damn goal umpires...

the vision he has and the ability to create a goal is amazing. his 5 assists would have been higher if only certain players could kick straight and his 1 goal should have been 2 if only the umpires could see straight.
to think i was bagging him at the start of last year and now he has become my favourite players.

i will honestly say before the pies i used to think he was the biggest douche bag. my hate for him is equivalent to my hate for milne at the saints.

To bad you didnt take him off the dockers hands earlier he may have been even better. Seriously though good on Medhurst and the coaching/training staff at Collingwood he is finally getting a shot at reaching his full potential and doing your club proud in the process. I remember being very aware of his particular talent when he tore us a new one earlier this season.

This year he's been outstanding for us and I'm hoping he'll get the AA nod in the final 22. But being the only Pie in 2 years to receive an AA nomination is great considering how we got him.

the bloke is 1 goal away from his equal best and he's handing out goals like there's no tomorrow. What a champ. i loved that kick to Dawes in the 4th, Dawes didn't have to move at all to mark it. Can never have too much man love when Medders is involved.
