Has anyone put up a ‘Bowlers who didn’t know where the business end of a bat was’?

1. Chris ‘The Phantom’ Martin
2. Courtney Walsh
3. Bhagwath Chandrasekhar
4. Glenn ‘61’ McGrath
5. Phil Tufnell
6. Alan Mullally - how’s that? Quack quack
7. Danish Kaneria
8. Devon Malcolm
9. Fidel Edwards
10. Monty Panesar
11. Mervyn Dillon

12. Allan Donald

I’ll go into bat - at better than bunny level - for Merv Dillon here. He was better than the rest of these guys, he was a step above the Rabbit-tier tails ender, regularly made 15-30 scores, just made a heap of ducks as well

Didn't Ajit Agarkar make something like 9 consecutive ducks at one point?

Doesn’t belong anywhere near that XI though unless you specify that 1999/2000 period.

Averaged almost 17 with the bat in test cricket so he’s pretty much Bradman (averaging twice as much as the next best bloke) compared to the rest of that team lol.

Having seen a few of those guys bowl, he’s the best bowler in that team by a very very long way.
Punter's meds were handy

Bob Simpson
David Warner
Marnus Labuschagne
Steve Smith
Michael Bevan
Peter Sleep
Cameron White
Tim Zoehrer
Shane Warne
Trevor Hohns
Stuart McGill
Leg spin?

1 Kallis
2 Sobers
3 Stokes
4 Benaud
5 Miller
6 Botham
7 Imran
8 Zoehrer
9 Jadeja
10 Pollock
11 Hadlee

Edit forgot Sobers, arguably best all rounder of all time.

2000 runs/200 wickets?
Many have, but just went for all-rounders who have bowled & batted.

Wicket keeper was always going to be most difficult as wanted someone who bowled more than just the once for fun.

Not Wade then?

Sorry - if you want a Keeper who bowled, there is only one answer - Alfred Lyttleton. (Yes, he only bowled the once, but hear me out).

England Playing Australia, 1884, The Oval. Australia win the toss and bat. Billy Murdoch makes 211, Percy Mcdonnell and Harry Scott also make 100s. At one stage, Australia are 5/494. In desperation, the England Captain, WG Grace, chucks the ball to Lyttleton and says 'Take those pads off, Alf and have a go'.

Lyttleton takes 4/19 and cleans up the tail. Grace says 'Put those pads back on, Alf'. The highest career total of test wickets by a designated keeper is - Alfred Lyttleton, with 4.

That's impressive!

Jim Higgs and Bob Holland?

From memory Danny Morrison used to hold the record for test match ducks but he still looked like Bradman compared to Chris Martin.

Australia had some shocking tailenders back in the 80s too with the likes of Hogg, Rackemann, Alderman.Reid, it was fun watching them bat.

I'm sure you remember the maiden to Bruce Reid when Australia needed 2 to win off the last over?

Fair Phat. Personally loved Dillon as a kid, always happy to have a yarn when down at fine leg. He was better than most in that list, but did have an amazing ability to go quack.

Yeah that was hilarious to watch, some of the worst batting you will ever see.
