Friday night game again for the Lions, thanks Collingwood :D.

Thanks for posting this, got work today and wanted to know about the draw prior to leaving.

Saturday afternoon games in Sydney is something that's never been tried before. It'll be interesting to see how that works.
The NRL stopped playing games on Saturday afternoon because no-one used to go - hopefully the AFL will do better.

This page is not available from any other page on the H-S site, and includes games that are contrary to what has been leaked elsewhere (St Kilda playing Melbourne at Gold Coast rather than Adelaide). It is also well before the announced 11:30am release date. I'm not sure of the accuracy or source of this "fixture".

Not happy the saints only have one MCG game all year

However - we avoid the two trips to subi we had this year replaced by two trips to AAMI. which is heaps better inre: travelling. Also, no trips to the gabba, one to the scg and one to Aurora.:thumbsu:

Overall - can't really complain. But will be interesting to see the crowd number for round 10 at carrara vs. the demons!

I'm happy :thumbsu:
I'm ****ing not.

A home game at the DOME against St Kilda (on a monday night ) and the Western Bulldogs. Correct me if i'm wrong, but thats not our home ground and it is theirs. Why are we playing home games against them at the dome? Shouldn't we be playing against interstaters at the dome, not dome tenants?

Why have the split round 5 one weekend and 3 the next weekend.
How hard is it to just have 4 and 4.
Why must the AFL continue with different comobos for the split round when 4 each weekend would make perfect sense.

Fantastic draw for Carlton ...

we only get to play the top 4 once this year (all of them lol) :D

IN this draw, a top 6 finish is just about a cert for Carlton in 2009 ...

Look a bit closer.

Anyway it must be hard for you to work out the draw, since you follow Geelong then Carltank ............ who knows who you will be supporting in 2009.

So let me get this staright. Collingwood have to play the Bulldogs twice within 7 weeks ... at Etihad Stadium, which is the Bulldogs' home ground ... riiiight! How the f*ck does that even make sense?

interesting that freo's draw doesn't go home-away-home-away like usual. We have two away games in a row early on, and then two home games in a row later on

LOL it's back to that stupid system they had this year, where the draw is totally out of whack (and some teams play each other twice in the first 8/9 rnds)

Carlton doesn't play the Dees till rnd 21 for the first time for instance, but that is fine, cause we basically play other teams twice that I think we are better then (IE Brisbane, Richmond, Essendon etc) so it's all good news ...

The friday night games are a big boost as well and far less sunday games (only 3)

Once again Melbourne have been royally r*ped. If you thought we had low crowd figures this year, have a look at our draw.

Our first 2 home games are against the Roos on Grand Prix day )can't wait for that one) and the Crows on a Sunday afternoon.

Probably get a combined crowd of 35,000 for both matches. Nothing short of pathetic from the AFL.
