A little sensitive perhaps??? He thinks Carlton are a better team at this point int ime...so do I, and many others.

We rolled Collingwood twice, but little doubt they were the better team over the year.

Notwithstanding our two wins against you this season, I can't see how Carlton are a better side than us.

Different I guess to what I thought we would get.

Dome home games against Western Bulldogs and West Coast. I would have thought it would be against two interstate teams seeing as we only have two home games there. 3 Rounds at the Dome in a row too.

Crows on the Gold Coast, thought Carlton were getting the crows!

Richmond against Melbourne at the MCG for the first time (Richmond home team) in a while. Thought this was the team we were going to play on the Coast.

Whats the Monday 13th April? Is that Easter Weekend? Hopefully if this is easter monday itll be a day game at the Dome.

Also with Port Adelaide, Sundays everywhere!

What game will be the dreamtime, Richmond have the first home game against Essendon on a saturday night (23rd May), normaly this is a Essendon Home fixture for the dreamtime game.

Why would Collingwood's 4 games at the dome be against Melbourne teams? (NM, STK and WBx2)

And why would our 2 home games there be against TD tennants STK and WB? Surely the AFL would maximise attendances by having those games at the 'G and put our home games against interstate teams at TD.

We played St Kilda and the Dogs at The Dome this year (one was our home game I think).

Also, it's better to play interstate teams at teh MCG, where we have a TRULY home ground/home state advantage over them. We'd probably lose to teh Dogs at teh G anyways, so might as well get that contest (and a Dome game) out of teh way.

We used to lose to Freo, Crows and West Coast at The Dome all the time!

t's not bad as we only play Hawks and Geelong once, Dogs twice.

Freo, West Coast and Melbourne twice. Essendon twice.

Again we play Port once, at AAMI. Look forward to extending our losing record for one more year there.

But we dont play at the G until Round 22. Bloody perfect eh. What a joke.

this draw is bullsh1t. Not on any of the websites unless it mysteriously got pulled within mins of being on there.
The AFL said no team would play eachother twice within the 10 rounds, this leads me to believe this draw is wrong or the AFL are liars......... oh wait.....

It appeared on the HeraldSun website in the morning, however has been pulled off.

I say this is the correct draw.

Now I know that we finished last & as a result don't get the prime time game slots, but really how fair is the draw?

Get back to playing each team once in the first 15 rounds & then whoever in the last 7 rounds. We don't play Syd until R.17, Frem until R.20 & Carl until R.21

We have 1 x Friday night game, 7 Saturday games (1 x night at Carrara Vs Saints), 13 Sunday games (2 x twilight).

The AFL is supporting us financially but if they really want us to stand on our own feet, don't give us so many Sunday games. I think most Melbourne supporters would be happy if it was a 50/50 split between Saturday & Sunday games. Meaning we would drop 3 Sunday games & pick up 3 Saturday games. Most junior footy is played on a Sunday & that means families don't get to Sunday games! (Hopefully our members of tomorrow)

Further to that is the one Saturday night game against the Saints on the Gold Coast. It is a near definite to being on Foxtel.

Melbourne supporters aren't asking for the prime time Friday night footy slot 5 or 6 times a season but at least more Saturday games & not to play bloody Geelong twice every season (I don't know how long it has been since playing them only once in a season)

Round 1 thursday night and Good friday eve should always be reserved for Brisbane and or Sydney. A chance to promote the game at night in a good time slot without competition from the NRL.

I can't work out why we keep on getting a home game agaisnt Geelong at the Dome instead of the MCG when it is always a sell-out.

We get 4 home games at the MCG. One of them in 2009, for some stupid reason is versus Brisbane. Why? Wouldn't it make more sense if that was at the Dome and the home game against the Cats at the MCG?

The whole point of the 4-7 home game split is to use a "best-fit" strategy.

Im not really a fan of the Swans 6 Saturday Afternoon games. Saturday afternoon games have traditionally had rather low attendances compared to the Sunday afternoon games.
