Also definitely a confidence player.

I would start him on wing get few touches early. Don't like they recently starting esp mj wing start of games. If banners starts fwd or bench and doesn't get few early think it impacts him. Could be residual effect of sub role having to make impact or uncertainty if he doesn't perform he will be dropped next game

Also as he nailed that first goal last night , it usually comes in bunches. Whereas we saw he missed few early against Weagles and he proceeded miss ones he usually kicks

Seems he has been starting bench start of most qrters and comes on half way through .

Club needs to sign him up for the rest of his career and name a street in Fremantle after him

Confidence is a wonderful thing.

When he was always sub it seems like he was trying too hard to keep his place in the team.

He now believes he belongs and is reaping the rewards.

He'd be best 22 in most teams in the competition. I've certainly seen way worse premiership players.

Quickly becoming our most important out of contract player to re-sign
Hearing the delay is because the Swans are trying to find the extra top 10 pick to throw in with Chad to get Banners over.

I just feel like he's come of age, what is he now, 26..?!?!

His confidence has soared this season, he's finally grown into "best 22'. Not always been his biggest fan, but good on him - shows you what dedication and a never say die attitude can do for you :)

Think more about opportunity in.terms of games/game time but also positions. Imagine having to fight for your spot week in week out and if the team loses you are the first one omitted. Having to make an impact, and sometimes trying to hard is detrimental

Still feel his best position is wing. Seems to excel as the game goes on and others tire he is still going running to provide the option. Seen so many instances where he has run into space but gets ignored. Playing him third tall was never his best position

He would excel further in a team that plays fast with speed on ball..

Don't think it's a certainty he will sign on next year. Big decision for him at this juncture in his life.

A team offering 3 year deal and more chance to play wing I can see him taking it, and noone can begrudge him of taking it

Imagine he got the 3 gettable goals from eagles game and 3 gettable from saints game.. he'd be at 20 goals...add on some harder misses from port game

St Kilda are looking for anybody to join them.
Bailey could go there and have Ross destroy his career instantly.
He would be paid well but comes at a cost, as other former Dockers have learned.
Bailey is too smart to fall for that lure. Obviously Fremantle need to be fair and sensible with the new contract
Offer.

Doubt it.. don't think he has good relationship with Ross as he was under him for awhile and wasn't getting much opportunities.

One thing in our favour is he seems to have good relationship with JL

Feels like there's too many staying factors that we'd have to put an insanely disrespectful offer for him to leave.

Has any player gone from whipping boy to fan favourite before?

Does he have it in him to take the next step...to cult figure?
David Mundy went from whipping boy as flanker to eventual hero in the midfield.

Was Shaun McManus ever a whipping boy? I remember growing up my dad was always screaming at him to stop going to ground
We got ourselves an official name for Banfield fans (it was this or Banfielders)

How about Bailievers?

Sorry, I was watching the old Comedy Central roast of Justin Beiber last night...
