Seems the handbaggers down the highway are getting a little frustrated after saturday night we were just another team contender they were going to give there all famous knock out blow to

We came out the winners so now even there players dont respect us just show how arrogant the GFC are

Seems every team this year we have beaten have had a stinker lets hope we get that luck in September

Cant dominate forever and they cant handle this so lets be nice to them all and help them through this process

Flags arnt won in August and according to everybody we have peaked to early and will fail

Lets just see

Geelong still have a lot of upside. Ling can pump his chunky little hooves 1 metre further before going purple in the face, and the turtle could of ducked 8 more times if he needed to. I reckon Scarlett will be greasing up all the parts of his zimmer frame this week.

Sorry but I just cannot possibly be nice to a cat supporter.

I refuse to be part of a be nice to them thread :p

I'll be "nice" to cats supporters when they are nice to all of our supporters.

In other words, NEVER.

They are a largely insignificant football club that has finally had a little bit of success, and their supporters have to be the most arrogant, self loving morons I have ever had the displeasure to sit near at a football game.

Seriously, one piece of advice to Cats supporters, if the game is on, WATCH IT, don't keep turning around and criticising every comment Collingwood supporters make, WATCH THE ****ING GAME.

They are the enemy, niceties are not required, maybe respect, but we don't have to be "nice".

Nah **** that. They don't deserve it.
Very sore losers as they are genuinely afraid that we are a legitimate threat. They are crying on their board that it was satanic of Pendles to say we dominated their midfield, which in the case of something like 64 to 33 inside 50's, then yeah your midfield was dominated.

I keep hearing this crap its not won in August etc and no its not. But we win and we are peaking too early, we lose and we are pretenders, anyone watching that game knows we should've won 7+ goals, what else can we have done in the last 8 games to show the world we are genuinely favourites and for a very solid reason?

Has anyone seen an article or have any clue they are loading their training loads or is that just a fall back? So many weak excuses coming out of the Cattery board and other neutrals who hate Collingwood. Love it how Cats fans just assume that once the calendar clocks into September that the planets will align and a flick will be switched and they will dominate the comp, when in reality they haven't really shown any dominance this year that would make me afraid of them like I have been the last few years. How arrogant is it to assume that they will go against the current trend and turn it on, and assume we will also go against the current trend and lose form, all I know is going into finals is I would rather have 2months of form leading in then no form and relying on the past.

You guys are certainly in a better position than we are at the moment, going on form alone. We haven't played as good this year as we did last year, and last year we didn't play as good as the year before. But it was all trivial until it counted on september, when we turned it on.

Whether or not that happens again this year is anyones guess. We can't just keep being the best every year so eventually we're going to drop off and someone will take our place. One thing I am sure of though, if we do happen to meet in a prelim, it will probably be more like 07 than 09.

September will be very interesting....

I knew what you meant :D Similar to the "Aww, now we just put on the afterburners" comment overheard by Cats fans at 1/2 time break. Take yer reality to the mechanics, Hoop fans, it needs a check-up.

Yeh the cats are that good they don't age, they get faster and fitter every year and can now flick switches that are connected to some cyborg implant that triggers their universal after burners and inform peak fitness annihilation plan..

Geelong 2010.

5 games vs sides in the Top 6 for one win (vs Collingwood, Round 9)

They've lost to the teams sitting 1st, 3rd, 5th and 6th and will play the Bulldogs (4th) for the first time this week.

No wonder people want us to be nice to them!

I can sense years of built up September pain in this thread guys, that and a clear lack of punctuation.

See you in September when we flick the switch and turn on the afterburners.

I think you will find your afterburners are obsolete technology these days champ..

Tantrum officially thrown by the Handbaggers.

Not really happy about their impending slip back into obscurity you'd say. They had their couple of years up the top, back to 20k crowds at Skilled and just padding the number of clubs in the competition from here you'd suspect.

Nice try but we beat your mob this year and in every final for god knows how many years.

Try to keep up.

Yep, the 1980 prelim was a thumping.:p

07 and 09, that's all there is mate, and that was when we weren't a "real contender" and you were at your peak.

Surely, if you are being honest, you simply don't want to play us again this year.

I'm more interested in the goings on of Round 19 instead of Round 9, just as I'm more interested in the goings on of 2010 than 2009.

You have to be concerned that you have a clear problem against the Top sides and just beat up on bottom sides down at Skilled?

1 from 5 against the Top 6 is pretty concerning, probably going to make it 1 from 6 this weekend.

Honestly don't know. Carlton run so hot and cold. But Geelong are also hobbling (meaning injuries, not game style). Geez, hard to call. Be funny, wouldn't it?
Mmm same feeling, Geelong should run a muck with the bigger and talented players but look what's happened the last couple times they've played eachother... I am going to be barracking for Carlton i reckon in that game  Its going to be painful i know but i would rather play Geelong first week of the finals than the Bulldogs.

Walking out of the Lexus centre last Saturday night, I was verbally abused by a number of Geelong barrackers who were heading home in some sort of hired mini bus. I guess my Magpie hat, or jacket, or membership card, or scarf or something must have tipped them off that I was a Collingwood supporter. People are free to act as they please in this society but those gentlemen did not endear me to Geelong's cause. If I were wilder I'd have cast all manner of profanities back at those sad people. As it is I preserved the dignity of the Collingwood Football Club which I was representing, indirectly, through my attire.

But I will not 'be nice' to Geelong supporters. I am here to make war.
