How come you didn't just stay a Cavs fan?

Are you another Thunder muppet with no idea who the Sonics were

Gohan ur new here. a quick history lesson.

many moons ago this place was cav central, i reckon there was a few heat fans (ie plowking). cavs fans are few and far between now with miami rocketing up the charts. it may just be coincidental that miami fans didnt post much back when, and do so now.

but lockyer has been a longtime fan. i think we even had a discussion of PJ Brown once.

Gohan, you should also do research on the Seattle Supersonics... As they were once the 'it' team during the 90s and have a rich history as well. I'm sure you'll enjoy reading up on the happenings of the previous team before the Oklahoma City team was formed.
They have ugly colours and an ugly logo too. Good thing they are now OKC.

rumour - gasol to atl for smith (other parts may be involved).

No it isn't, Atlanta have said point-blank they aren't trading Smith for Gasol.

Why do the Lakers want Smith anyway? He is possibly the worst possible fit next to Dwight, all it does is encourage him to take those stupid 3's and long 2's so Dwight has space to work with.

Doesn't Dwight want to play with Smith?

My brother was a Sonics fan in the 90s (Kemp's dunking seemed to reel them in)- that Kemp/Vin Baker trade was an eye-opener in retrospect..

NBA moving that team to OKC was farcical. Seattle was always a great basketball city, just as Sacramento is now.

The complicated world of the NBA 'franchise'

NBA moves Jazz from New Orleans to Utah
NBA creates Charlotte Hornets
NBA moves Hornets from Charlotte to New Orleans
NBA creates Charlotte Bobcats two years later
NBA moves Sonics from Seattle to OKC
Now the NBA might move Kings from Sacramento to Seattle..

Charlotte Bobcat fans would like their old Hornet nickname back from New Orleans. New Orleans fans would really like to be called the Jazz again (name fits for obvious reasons), but they can't get the name back from Utah (for whom the Jazz name is completely inappropriate). Seattle fans are still livid that their team (including a young Kevin Durant) was moved to OKC on the sly, and mostly hate the Thunder now. Some former Sonics fans would like to see the Kings moved to Seattle, and presumably call them the Sonics again, even though it would technically not be the same team. Sacramento fans are pissed as hell at the Maloof brothers, who have had discussions with Virginia Beach (a non-NBA region) about moving the team there..

The NBA- where  happens..
