Sobetwa 19, who last year played three games in the Western Australian Football League excelled in the kicking test conducted by AFL Biomechanist Kevin Ball. Each player’s kicking technique was taped and compared on screen to that of Collingwood legend Nathan Buckley. “I was pretty close,” said a jubilant Sobetwa, “He only beat me on core strength and the angle of my toes.”

Don't want to kick him while he's down, but how the f*ck could he be an automatic selection for the best part of 2 years at our club, but no other club will touch him? Glad we're past that sh*t selection era.

I sure hope Clarko is similarly pigheaded and plays Skipper every week just to justify drafting him.

Strange thing is he was in career best form stats wise in his last 5 games.

We have had a lot of players rack up 20 games a season despite not hitting any real form all year and there being guys in the VFL doing well.

Under the old regime form was a non-issue which I guess is why our supporters end up disliking some players who are playing despite not doing anything of note.

I was trying to recall if Bayanda Sobetwa was the same South African who attended the AIS/AFL camp and was almost as good as Buckley in kicking style, googled and found he was.

It just goes to show the value of the overseas footy leagues (that now have over 50,000 regulars) and that talented youngsters are going to pick up the skills. Sobetwa is still only 19. Sheedy's pick up of him for GWS is no gimmick.

The point being made is, if Power is so bad, it's a bit strange that his stats line up quite favourably against other midfielders who are widely regarded as close to elite. Is not a put down on elite midfielders but Power is not so bad, either. Pity some "supporters" don't get it.

TBH, I cannot stand his monotonous,boring, toneless, voice!! I am just happy that I have a mute button, and believe me, I used it last night. Along with Blight, AND Russell, they are THE worst commentators in the media..
Lloyd, and Blight would not know the meaning of "excitement" if it bit them on the posterior...
