Taking on the Roys away, early in the season before their inevitable decline, is always a hard task and true to form we handed them a win. We were held at bay all day and while Marlowe worked hard in unison with DiT and nahnah, and the captain scored another six goal haul, we were pretty soundly beaten. 1-3 the start to a premiership defence which was pretty much (spoilers) the reason we didn't win it.

The Hawks were licking their lips at the possibility of plunging the Royals further down the ladder but it was some former Hawks that were the ones doing the licking as the captain kicked 7, spookism was solid and ShaunDuggan was best afield. A much needed win and the season was back alive.

Well, that winning form was short lived as we returned home and... lost, of course. Another one we were just held at bay, GreyCrow and grumbleguts were our best but there were solid performances across the ground, albeit none spectacular.

Well, we were sitting pretty much dead last, we blew all our percentage the week before, we had nothing left to give and I begged you all not to finish last. Well done, you all. We traveled to Dragon Island and were arrested for murder. GreyCrow was phenomenal, Marlowe and Gadzorks great but it was a full team performance. Unfortunately most of you miss votes.

We headed off to whatever the Furies call their home ground and in a regulation five goal win it was spookism that saluted for one of his best games as a Royal. GreyCrow and nahnah were also sensational, with the ruckman in a rich vein of form and vote getting.

In what was one of the most satisfying wins of the season we hosted the Wonders and could have won if they played the second half by themselves. Off a 10 goal second quarter, there were some massive performances from GreyCrow, Ulahoopski, spookism and the captain.

The first of the return legs and it was Allahoopski (please accept my retirement) as Ula went on a tear in the second half, proving the matchwinner as we took some important points off the high flying Warriors. Marlowe and nahnah were also outstanding as the duo tore apart the Warriors engine room.

Or - the loss we needed to have (except we lost a few more). We were absolutely smashed from the get-go and after the first break we were just playing to keep the margin from being more of a blow out. It was grumbleguts that had his best game and Noobz0r got plenty of it in defence but for the most part this was not one to write home about.
