How good is a win, especially one where we blow pretty much a 40 point lead and then have to come back to snatch it? It was an absolute must win as a loss would have seen us only avoiding the wooden spoon position by percentage - as it stands we're back in the 8 and strong percentage means if we can topple the Warriors at home this week we'll be back in the pack and really only a win off top so we can't let last weeks hard work go to waste.

Big performances again this week, rewarded. Duggan, grumbleguts and spookism saw plenty of it in the midfield and Marlowe tackled solidly. The backline was solid apart from the third quarter when Phenomenal got off the leash and the forwards again functioned well giving us first use and another bag for the full forward.

For the posters, a slight improvement on last week with the overall numbers stronger, although less cracking the 20 post mark compared to last week. The Warriors are a solid posting group, easy going with a lot of fresh blood that will want to see the week tick over. Hopefully we smash the sh*t out of them.

Unfortunately this was never a game we looked like taking control of, and were saved a heavy loss with a miserly last quarter. Inaccuracy was the key issue here and some goalkicking practice in order. The "winners" of the day were the defensive line that worked hard however the biggest concern was allowing 11 of their 17 goals to come from their midfield... crucial lapses and another loss at home. I can single out GreyCrow for an enormous day in the ruck, at least doing his best to give us every opportunity to win the ball.

Posting wise was a big improvement and we ended up with a 60% increase on post numbers compared to last week with two additional posters. Big weeks from grumbleguts, Marlowe, GreyCrow, CakeEater and MrPremiership in particular. Thank you. It's not our job to entertain the other side but there is always a nice feeling attached knowing you engaged others and each other and getting good reviews back from the opposing side.

In round 7 we welcome the Demons to the Throne and again this is a great group of posters so I think we're in for another quality week. They are currently sitting 6th, a little better percentage than us and on a two game losing streak... it's IMO the most important game for us for the season so far because another loss is so much distance, we can again get in with the pack.
