I found a cool book when down in Melbourne called "Underdog! 50 Years of Trials and Triumph With Football's Also-Rans". Looks like it's too dated to include Leicester's win, but seems to go up to 07/08 (funnily enough ending one season before there would be a Hull entry or two). Going to read it after my current book which is a Stephen King memoir centred around writing.

I've stopped my reading entirely unfortunately during Corona. One of the few things I miss about going into work is reading my book on the train.

Not quite sure I understand. Are you unable to read without being on a train?

I reckon I read now more than ever.

No, I just don't read at home.

I don't need to travel to work now, therefore I don't read.

So why is it unfortunate that you've stopped reading? If you want to read, read, nothing's stopping you lol.

I get up around my normal time each morning and read for an hour before work, read during lulls during the day, and read before bed each night. It's fantastic, getting through some great books.

I sleep in, and either fiddle around on the computer for a bit before logging on or do washing/cleaning up etc.

Fair enough, everyone has their own priorities. I actually enjoy reading, it's not just a routine for me. Trying to get back into writing as well.

I do love reading, but it's something I've never done at home - aside from when I was a kid.

Curious.

Fair enough.

Just funny timing I guess having read a section of my book this morning where Stephen King talks about reading and its accessibility. :p

Djilobodji stiff. Only paid a small fee for him and was a last minute re-enforcement type signing IIRC. Did I miss Bakayoko or did he not make this list? Also Juan Cuadrado was a disgrace in his few appearances for us. Reckon the latter two were more disappointing than Drinkwater and Djilobodji (who I had zero expectations for).

Our scouting has been pretty good (for us and Liverpool).

Mangala was a fail that comes to mind, not many others. Fernando, Javi Garcia, Jovetic a few that didn't live up to expectations but I wouldn't have thought they'd be in worst transfer territory. Even Bravo has redeemed himself a bit with cup performances.

I can't remember too many that haven't been written off as a waste of money when we bought them (I might do a thread one day) but we have a pretty good record of getting what we paid for and more.

lol

I didn't want to go to Manchester because I am friends with Gianinna Maradona, who was married to [Manchester City's] Sergio Aguero, and we flew from Madrid to his house in Manchester to pay him a visit for two or three days when Angel had a few days off at Real Madrid.

It was horrible, s---. We went to the house and we were like ... 'See you later guys, we're out of here'. When we left, I said to him, Go to any country -- except England'. Anyway, one year later and there we were in England.

The people are all pasty-faced, prim and proper ... weird. They're walking down the street and you don't know if they're going to kill you or what. The food's disgusting. All the girls are all dolled up to the nines, perfectly made-up and there's me with my hair in a bun and with no make-up on," she added.

We try to be closer when things go bad. I did not blame him for being there. I just told him, 'Darling, I want to kill myself, it is already night at 14:00 p.m. in the afternoon.

Maybe her problem isn’t Manchester. Maybe her problem is that she’s a ****ing idiot.
