He just happened to beat pep in a champions league final.

Are you trying to tell me that Potter is better than tuchel because he has beaten him more times head to head?

Because if that is your theory then you wouldn’t argue that ole is better than pep because head to head it’s ole 4 pep 3 with 1 draw.

Just asking the question, no need to get your knickers in a twist.

Not only for that reason but I’d suspect because he is better than potter. Just didn’t see eye to eye with the board and them obviously not giving tuchel what he wanted.
Not sure Tuchel is ever going to be a long term manager at any club. His last 6 months for us was pretty dire football and a chore to watch.

I think the biggest mistake was not making the decision at the end of last season, but it was a pretty complicated situation. Potter will be given time.

I think he could be but for a team in Germany perhaps or a juve or some club of that stature.

Definitely new owners with no idea how to run a football is the biggest problem you have, more worried about setting up an all star game than the club. I don’t know his record is pretty horrendous isn’t it 1 win in 11 games in all comps?

I agree with you he should’ve been hired before the start of the season.

No matter when they took over it was always going to take time. They are still putting the right people in place to run the club(I think I've mentioned this a dozen times haha), just employed a Technical Director and have two others joining after this window and then we'll employ a Sporting Director in the summer to oversee it all.

Yeah Potter is struggling atm, but he's also missing 10 senior squad members through injury(plus a couple are just playing out their Chelsea careers atm imo) so I'll cut him a little slack. Next season he'll have no excuses.

I think what's becoming obvious is that our squad is better talent wise than some gave credit for and they potentially made Potter look better than he was, not the other way around which is what was always pushed as the story.

RDZ seems to have unlocked a lot of players offensive potential where Potter couldn't.

Speaking from experience, it does not matter who Boehly brings in to run the club if he doesn't relinquish control of decision making to them.

I think in some respects it's a lot easier to come into a squad already performing very well and add a layer on top, than it is to build that squad in the first place in the way Potter did.

Well, i most likely won't be the last person you say that to lol.

I give him that as well, injuries haven't helped at all what is it 10 senior squad players out?

I just don't see this new owner who doesn't seem to understand football will give him the time.

Mitoma and Ferguson have been good additions. March and Gross have improved. MacAlister, Lampty, Trossard, Veltman, Welbeck performing about the same as last season maybe?

It's the style and mindset that have changed.

Potter's style involved too much passing backwards which really stiffled our creative players and our ability to score more goals.

Always felt like Potter was more concerned with passing the ball around nicely than actually working out how to unlock the problem of scoring more goals.

Under RDZ that's completely changed. The % of passes that are going backwards has significantly changed. He's more daring as a manager.

Estupinan is also an upgrade on Cucurella in terms of attacking from that position on the field.

Didn't think the Saudis could bid - AFC hosting in 2022 excludes them from the next 2 WC bids (2026 / 2030).
This is Saudi we're talking about... Money talks with FIFA and they have lots of it

This has been covered a few times hasn't it? It's the entire reason they're looking to do a joint bid with countries from other confederations.
