Im gathering it will probably like a Victoria A sort of side.

The tournament continues to build on Cricket Victoria’s global footprint, including the existing partnership with the San Francisco Unicorns. Up to six players from the Unicorns, who were runners-up in MLC02, will join the Victorian squad.

Cricket Victoria’s squad will comprise a blend of BBL-contracted players, emerging Victorian talent, and players from the San Francisco Unicorns. The team will be captained by San Francisco Unicorns captain Corey Anderson and will feature a lineup expected to include Netherlands captain Scott Edwards, Renegades batter Jon Wells, and England and Melbourne Stars player Joe Clarke.

The team will be coached by BBL|13 championship coach (Brisbane Heat) and current T20 Performance Manager for the Melbourne Renegades, Wade Seccombe.

Is it really called that? Two digits is a bit presumptuous I reckon

I blame the scheduling. Prime example is right here on display.

England have sent a second string team to play these T20s before NZ Test series starts.
India have sent a second string team to play in SA before BGT starts.
Australia are currently undergoing a white ball series before BGT starts.
NZ have sent a second string to SL for white ball series before England Test series starts.

Every single country is about a Test series but playing pointless white ball stuff at the moment.

and the south africans placed priority on their domestic 20/20 comp last summer when they had a test tour to NZ.

ridiculous the aussies were 1-1 and 'rest' cummins, hazlewood, starc, smith and marnus for the 'decider'.

go back to fully fledged tours (where each country has 2 tours each year and hosts 2 countries)
eg. 3-5 odi's and 20/20's at the boards discretion and then the 2-3 tests (5 for aust v eng v ind)
maybe sneak in a 4 day tour game if possible, that way the red ball specialists get a hit out before the tests.
a tour would be done in 6 weeks (except the 5 test series) and to do that twice a year doesn't impact on travel etc.

it's either that or do away with odi's and 20/20 at international level other than the global world cups.

it's definitely the scheduling, as pakistan were here last summer for the test series and could have played the white ball component as well.

Good to see household Australian names Will Bosisto and Tom O'Connell battling it out in the Bangladesh Premier League.
One of my contracted players has just told me he’s received an inquiry from the Oman 🇴🇲 T20 comp 🤦‍♂️

It was weird, I was searching through cricinfo and saw that O’Connell and Bosisto were the ‘most searched Australian players’ so I knew something was up. Then I noticed Bosisto has come straight from the Nepalese premier league. Good for them I say if they can earn a living from it. He scored a 75* in the BPL and took a 6fa in the NPL.

Bosisto was going to be the next big thing out of the Under 19’s a few years ago…
