Part 4 is here:

Wettest August in 50yrs and wettest winter overall in 15yrs. Truly a thing of beauty. Something about the tempestuousness(word?) of a good winter that is at once intoxicating and inspiring. This winter has been one for the ages. I rejoice in its magnificent glory, lifted even higher by the tears of the summer people.

Can feel the summer nazis starting to twitch though. Summer is imminent. Rest easy you sun loving heathens. The mighty hand of Apollo will soon have his way with us here in Western Straya - he always does - and the sun will, once again, shine out of your back doors.

I'm braving Carousel today, first time since they put those stupid paid parking things in. Should be interesting.

Also for those in or near Vic Park... apparently the new building they've put up on Albany Hwy is going to be an Aldi. I think the location leaves a little to be desired

The 10,000th post in the Perth thread is waxing lyrical about the weather. Never has a milestone been commemorated in a more appropriate fashion.

So, who went to the Uni Qlo grand opening?

Nothing says Perth like people queuing up to enter a shop.

Not me, will definitely visit in a few weeks, though. I like the styles offered, especially their T-shirts, and the prices are reasonable.

Why are you writing it as two words?

Uniqlo is okay. The socks come in good colours and you can stock up for ages with 40 bucks but the t-shirts get thin, the shirts are made for 12-year old Taiwanese boys, and there's basically no style to most of it... it's like Walter White chic.

Know someone who works there though, ****in insane. You have all these sales targets and it's clearly designed under this Japanese model of working people to their bones. Must be great helping out the average Perth City consumer under those conditions...

“The breach related to the fact that pet meat was found at premises where food was prepared and sold for human consumption,” Mr Cowie said. “Some of the meat was being processed by Mr Krishnasamy, however the City had no evidence that the pet meat was for consumption by customers.”

Mr Krishnasamy was contacted for comment. While he has not responded directly he did post on PerthNow’s Facebook page appealing to customers.

“It has come to our attention the authorities have released information about our meat as unsafe for human consumption,” he wrote.

“We would like to assure you the situation has been rectified and we have immediately discontinued with the purchase from the meat supplier.

“We believe our mistake was trusting our supplier blindly and going ahead with the purchase back in February 2018 when there was an inspection. Since then we have immediately discontinued purchases from the supplier and have stepped up our hygiene practices.

“We are truly grateful that no one has consumed the meat and that the inspection officers have helped us save our customers from an unpleasant experience.

“We at Cafe Marica hold ourselves at high professional standards as we strive to provide customers with quality food at an affordable price.”

I didn't realise Carousel had their rooftop food area grand opening today...Grill'd had a line about 500m long

So how was the whole experience and did you join the Grill’d queue
