Subi and Westies should play the annual Hillarys Hitout.

Recovery to be done at the harbour.

I'm a Subi supporter, after they won the 2004 Premiership the players ended up drinking at the Paddington Ale House.

I didn't know they would be there but I lived near to the Paddo and that was my local watering hole, it was a big night.

Drowning your sorrows that the Black Ducks didn’t make it through ?

Bummer really a Demons / Swans GF would have been epic
First quarter was good. The rest not so good. At least it was easy to get a beer. Unlike the shit show at Leederville the week before.

I don't know why it's so hard to work out that the money you spend on hiring more people would easily be exceeded by the money from the extra drinks you sell.

You mean the Royals. The Demons have been shit since the 70s. But yeah it would have been good. Would have drawn a decent crowd.

Yeh nah I meant the Demons just coz it’s been so long

Embarrassing from the Curtin Uni students, I went to Curtin Uni back in the 90s we never used to carry on like that back then.

We were too busy avoiding lectures and drinking beers at the Curtin Tavern to be bothered protesting, standards have dropped.

It also looks like old Marky Mark has been in a good paddock since he quit politics, his fitness standards seem to have dropped..
Great bands at the Curtin Tavern back in those days

Kryptonics , Bamboos , Triffids , Stems , Hoodoo Gurus

I was going to ask who even watches stuff like that and then I remembered that I like to open Google Maps, pick a random spot somewhere in the world, open street view and have a look around.

Paddo was/is owned and run by Neil Randall, former subi player and board member. Pretty sure he also owns the Floreat as well now

Boom Crash Opera did a great set one Friday arvo there
Saw the Church play there , pretty sure I was still at boarding school late 80’s and we snuck out on a Saturday night , donned the winklepickers and paisley shirts , bought a bottle of cheap goon and smoked some crappy weed in the bushes with some uni students

Good times 😊

Were you there looking for Sniffer by any chance?

Was he the guy that used to hand out the "refreshments" in the toilets if he gave you the nod, yeah I may have heard about him.

We used to go there when we were underage too, didn't see any bands though, I just turned 18 when I saw Boom Crash Opera.

The Church would have been a great gig there, I saw them in San Diego at the Belly Up Tavern which is a great live venue too.

This song was the highlight.

They didn't play Under the Milky Way which pissed off some Americans there as that was the only song of theirs that they knew.

Umm yes , that sounds like Sniffer from what I’ve heard 😬

That would have been cool but I can understand the yanks being pissed , one of my fave songs of all time

Kilbey was probably just being a smartass

I don't care what anyone says a day grand final is ****ing stupid especially in WA. Wouldn't mind a few drinks but these days try to avoid starting at 11am like an alcoho.

Move with the times and make it 5pm est.
The 11am beer is one of the attractions of a 12:30 GF. Love the early start.

Quite the opposite, there were a bunch of annoying smartass American college guys chanting "Milky Way" in between songs.

Kilbey eventually had a gutful of them and told them to STFU which got a big cheer from all the genuine Church fans there.
