2 choices

Am unsure what to do, so thought I would pose the question here.

What would you prefer out of the following:

1. Brett Deledio and Dane Swan

OR

2. Luke Hodge and Scott Lucas

Keep in mind that Hodge is suspended for round 1. My midfield reserves are Harry Taylor and Rhys Palmer so I will have to rely on one of them for a score whilst Hodge is out.

Which would you prefer, and why?

Re: The Player A, Vs Player B thread

I've gone with Bernie Vince, Nathan Thompsons best is behind him and unsure of Bradshaw.

dyson vs houli??

Re: The Player A, Vs Player B thread

Very difficult decision,, I think I'd go with Dyson, he seems the safer option.

I'd say Hayes and Deledio. Hayes is back to his 06 form and Deledio will have a far more consistent year than Frankie.

Combos:

Nathan Thompson VS Bernie Vince VS Daniel Bradshaw.
For me I'd go with Thommo because I'm not entirely sure that Vince is a 22 game player just yet, could be in and out like Douglas was last year, which would be pretty frustrating, but I agree that Vince will probably average more.

I think you're spot on with Hayes and Deledio as well.

Re: Martin Mattner or Shannon Hurn - or somebody cheaper?

IMO Ellis will develope quite alot this year. He may move into the midfield so he could rack up quite a bit of the footy. He is excelent for his price and not much comes close to him (at that price), Hurn is probably the only other option however he is 19 grand more than him and may not be as consistant as Ellis.

Re: The Player A, Vs Player B thread

J Drummond OR A McLeod (McLeod will save money to be spent elsewhere)

McPhee OR P Burgoyne?

Robert Murphy OR A Davey?

Re: The Player A, Vs Player B thread

1) I'd still go with Drummond, very reliable player, McLeod can be a bit up and down, only backman I can think of who gets tagged on a regular basis.

2) Avoiding both TBH. Burgoyne hasn't impressed much and McPhee's new role could see him drop in points. I've chosen Milburn (at 20k less as well), but I'd take Burgo ahead of McPhee.

3) Definitely Robert Murphy, but I don't think either are particularly great options.

Deledio and Swan

vs

Hodge and Lucas (Hodge will miss round 1 so will need to relyon either Palmer or Taylor to fill in as a centre for 1 round)
Swan and Lids, I think Hodge missing the first round just doesn't make him a very good prospect to have from the start.

Re: The Player A, Vs Player B thread

PF08; Cloke, much more consistant than the other two, they'll have you pulling out your hair :p.

H2G; can't go wrong with any of those players, I think I'd take Judd and Cornes, gives two great captains options if you're willing to take the punt.

Harro; stay away from Houli, that's my only thought on that one. Can't trust him to be named every week I don't think.

Didak OR Monfries OR R. Murphy?
Of those I'd pick either Didak or Murphy. Didak should hopefully get into the middle a lot more this season. Murphy takes a lot of marks leading out of the 50, and hopefully won't be brought down by injuries again. Don't think Monfries will improve all that much TBH.
