Joshua v Usyk contender for fight of the year too, wow
Joshua should spar someone other than slam man, usyk is a very good boxer. Mandatory rematch clause is fair enough and gets them both another payday.

The UFC is getting in on the action now, what was with the Diaz v Lawler rematch after how many years. I’d really like to see Dutton v Morrison that would be funnier than streetbeefs, I’d order that on pay per view.

It's just shit now that Joshua will have to rematch Usyk (and win because if he doesn't it's over for him) and this will push back the potential Fury fight if that now ever happens at all. Credit to Usyk though, he fought incredibly well. Loved the head movement and quickness, clearly can see the difference between the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions.

I'm just watching the Diaz v Lawler replay now. Volkanovski in the main event too. Been some pretty good fights on lately. I'm not so excited for it but Fury v Wilder III is on in 2 weeks too.

What happened to Doohan??? Going to get reamed by his team for that

Personal goals over team direction by the looks of it, let's see if this has say a Weber v Vettel feel about it by the end? Agree team will dislike it.

Personally, I hate the calls for leader to "yield" position for their teammate, it's like, if you're good enough you'll take it, so long as it's top 3 you have the championship manu title so who cares? Given then both were also 2 & 3 in drivers, it's not as if one was leading and needing the win for points so just smacks of preferential treatment for mine.

Doesn't matter , Oscar won again , its looking like he wont have a seat next year as Mr Money bags is going to buy the seat Oscar should be getting

Oh Doohan won as well i missed that

The ABC should be ashamed bullying kids to groupthink about comedy from the past.

Making them all say that comedians from years ago should publicly apologise.

Now they have Indian kids complain about white people getting all the jobs. LOL like there is no racism.in India and she should look into IT in Australia.

FMD so boringly woke.

So yesterday was the first day back on the golf course after a 6 week layoff after hernia surgery.

Followed doctors instructions - gentle swing, avoid heavy clubs for the first couple of rounds, iron's of the tee - so basically old mans golf.

87 for a net 69 but jeez it was a boring round!!!

Talking to some mates in Melb last night - doesn't matter how much it rains - they've booked in for today, Thursday, Friday and Sunday

I didn't see the show but hiding that comedy from the past does nothing but white wash history. Shows like The Goodies had black-face and other currently inappropriate content but you don't watch it now and think you'd love to return to that, you watch it in the context of the time it was made in. They were actually using comedy to fight against the ridiculousness of apartheid. Hiding from the past is more likely to see bad stuff resurrected than showing it.

My daughter is doing screen writing at uni, they had to watch a documentary on a guy called DW Griffiths who was a guy who pioneered a lot of the way modern cinema is put together. He was undoubtably racist but the documentary tries to separate out the genius from the man.....the students freaked out that they could be shown something like that without a trigger warning and got together complained to the uni.

This generation is so mentally fragile, I can't see how they'll operate in the real world where any ideas outside the orthodoxy are so troubling that they need a little lie down to cope.

The coercion of young white girls to say the woke PC thing was what disturbed me the most. They were made to feel guilty about the skin colour they were.

It was a disgraceful show. And this is coming from someone who many on here describe as a lefty progressive.

As you said whitewashing history. The kids were basically made to say that comedians from the past should publicy apologise. Would love Bill Burr to respond by "Get ****ed" I'm notapologising for anything, don't like it don't watch my stuff.

The halfwit from JJJ was on it. they were complaining that comedy in Australia was mostly white. Hey gonzo, almost 70% of the Aussie population is white.

Was really a grooming exercise for the SJW's and the people who perpetually wake up offended.

My kids have loved watching back issues of the goodies.
And yes they used blackface, which was kind of in keeping with the budget of the show. My son tries to make amateur video and edit it and what-not. He thinks its hilarious all the low budget stunts and stop motion effects. No-one was going to assemble them a team of dark skinned extras to play black Africans.
I thought the "entitled whites" making short people second class was pretty cutting edge at the time. Like you said , highlighting the absurdity but in a light hearted way so that people didn't feel like it was being preached at them.
Some of their other stuff has actually aged worse. A plague of Rolf Harris's is no longer a cute idea.

Although taking the piss out of Rolf Harris' wholesome wrongness was ahead of it's time.

There was an episode featuring the "Mrs Slocomb " actress ( who seems to act the same in everything she's done ) which was banned in prime time Australia.
Essentially a reverse sexual harassment society where high placed women were using their power to prey on the Innocent Goodies, reducing them to sexual objects. Funny as shit , but still poignant in a similar way to the apartheid episode.

Has anyone had any experience with Vistaprint for wall hangings/canvases etc. or do you have any recommended alternatives?
My self portrait belongs in the Louvre, not on your bedroom wall.

Social media algorithms have been a disaster for the human race. (And Hideo Kojima is a ****ing boss)
