I looked them up, it looks good. Proper old school Italian.
Walked in almost by accident & saw a bunch of famous sporting people & Aussie actors in signed photographs of them eating their pizza & new it was legit. Words can’t describe how friggin good the pizza is there. Ended up going there three times within a week while I stayed in Sydney.

I looked at the pics people had put up and it looked like really good food. Much better quality than average.

You can find excellent pizza here though. Overall Naples has the best but Melbourne has so many good places to eat and you can get everything from American style fat cheese-ball stuff to perfect wood fired Napoli style.

Damn, I want to go sit in restaurant and drink and eat now.
Authentic pizza ? yes in Naples....but I must admit I was partial to a slice from RAYS Pizza joint on the corner of 14th and First Ave, NYC. Back then it was a dollar a slice...and NYC slices were huge .....OMG i liked too many of them thats for certain.......God knows what they'd be now or if RAYS would still exist. Great Pizza.....and I guess the memories make them 15% better every time I close my eyes and live some of those ol memories over and over......little things in life sometimes loom large ...larger perhaps than they ought! Ahhhhh....

Topolino's in St Kilda used to have amazing Pizzas , i haven't been there in a long time so not sure if its still the same
Still there and as good as ever, there was a good souvlaki joint McNicks just down the street. Unfortunately it’s long gone and I haven’t had a truly great souvlaki for years now.

You bet it is, there was a little Greek restaurant just down from prahran central decades ago that made the best souvlaki I’ve ever had. Meat carved straight off the charcoal spit, even slipped into a drip proof little sleeve. I used to hit it up after gym some nights, mate I still get cravings for one.

I have plenty of decent places near me but they’re just ok and not the same. Tried all of them went to a place in oakleigh recommended by Greeks friends etc but nothing comes close.

I saw this in the age recently, if you like deep dish pizza pie some of these look good.

Rome has a completely different style of pizza to Naples. They love the al taglio - the square one they sell by the slice there, often use a white base not tomato on them and a bit doughier like the NY ones. I like the thin Naples style with limited toppings. The roman panino though, they are so good.

Oasis bakery on North road used to something like that. Think it was a Turkish variation? Looked really weird, but they seemed to make hundreds of them. Very popular with taxi drivers.

Lebanese pizza often has a mince meat layer but haven't seen it cut off a rotisserie before.

My son and his Greek mate go to Oakleigh to get Souvlaki but they recently discovered Kolonaki Athenia Street Food in Wattle Tree Road in Malvern and swear by it. I haven't tried it myself though.
