Yeah I don't get that show at all. Seems to be trading off nostalgia from 40 and 50 year olds.

Yeah, it's certainly daft and definitely a bit stupid...but I love it anyway. It's a bit of dumbass fun. I can walk and talk my way through the intellectual landscape as well as anyone (and quite often to the surprise of many) but sometimes it's just good to switch off and watch a show that unashamedly rips off the Goonies alongside old 80's horror movies. The soundtrack blaring the Clash, Ramones, Devo & Kate Bush is also good nostalgic entertainment.

Is Nicole Kidman the worst “big name” actress of all time? F*ck she sucks.

Many years ago I was sitting the car listening to the radio and the entertainment reporter came on. He was talking about box office stars who were value for money in relation to what they were paid per movie and who were overpaid flops. Nicole Kidman was at the height of he career $20 million a movie or there about and she was number one on the overpaid dud list.

I can’t think of anything other than dead calm that imo she was even passable in but she still gets the roles and makes a fortune.
