If you just say the Greeks invented everything you're usually on the money. These bogan Aussies that roam this godforsaken forum would still be calling themselves cultured whilst shitting in holes in the ground and wiping their arses with leaves (after hammering down a few Vegemite sandwiches) if it wasn't for us showing them what a society is.

Progressive lesbians like Gringwoke fake culture. His wife has his balls on lock and key so he goes and builds himself a shitter in the middle of nowhere and reckons he's a handy man as he pulls out his bogged ridden Ford Fiesta and downs a few light glasses of pink gin with umbrellas and strawberries in it.
Is pederasty culture?

Ahh, it gives me a good laugh seeing all the uppity bogans get upset when they get called out for their shithouse CuLcHa

Imagine your part in history being shipped off on a boat as a bunch of criminals and left to rot on a barren wasteland. If the wogs didn't come over to help put a society together I'm not even sure you'd have survived

One must pose the question, why don’t you go back? 😎

Oh don't you worry - that's part of the grand plan 😎😎

And on that - you should go back too, this is Aboriginal land 😎

Went for a late night walk to feel some cooler air and hopefully release some face tension, as I walked back home and lock the door, I looked down and...

I got followed home by a random little kitten, who just sat at the door all "let me in let me in".

Now unfortunately for the kitten, I know where it comes from, and it's not going to set foot in my home cause where it comes from let's just say the less I see of them the better, but I did tell her that I had nothing for her since no milk and such, and as I was speaking to her she scurried to hide before coming back up as I was putting the blind down so I can get to sleep.

But yeah, I asked for a dragon and buxom wenches, and instead get a female kitten for my story.

Also, wind was nice, pine trees also howled a little and saw 2 other people walking who were very obviously off their face, one of them got amazed that they found a dip as part of a skate park and stumbled before they went out of view into the darkness.

People are a trip

Was at Coles paying for groceries and this chick walked out between 2 checkouts with a trolley absolutely choc full of sh*t. Like, you wouldn't fit a pack of tic tacs in there

The checkout chick looked bewildered and told some dude that worked there who did nothing. She then said to me there's nothing they can really do.

I went outside and the woman was there filling her boot with the unbagged stuff straight from the trolley.

So, if you're short of quid, just rock on down to Coles and have your fill.
I’ve seen this myself, it’s absolutely crazy but it‘s part of a much bigger problem that if not addressed will turn cities into San Francisco in a hurry.

Yeah chefin is peer reviewed 🤣🤣 there’s recorded history, facts and good stories. People put together a grab bag of stories flip a few facts omit a few others and arrive at what they want. I’ll stick with the facts, easter has been celebrated according to recorded history since the 2nd century. Bede mentions Eostre in the 8th century, other than that one mention you‘re once again into oral history and fables.

Anyway we’re not solving any mysteries on here so I’ll move on.

What are you guys using for home security? Arlo? Other?

Don't have any at home but up in the bush I use a security camera. It's Reolink or something but same idea as an arlo. It's a SIM card one and it's a pretty crap system. You have to then pay to have access to your online storage and seems to get set off every time a leaf drops or the wind blows.

The one thing that I'd check is how much access to their system to retrieve stuff is. Most are pretty good otherwise as far as picture quality and stuff goes.

What’s the point of home security cameras? A mate just got them put in for a few grand and all he could say to justify it was “peace of mind”. But how’s that work? By the time you need then you’ve already been robbed.

Probably the biggest part is as a deterrent.

As Gringo said, a deterrent, but also to capture footage if it does happen.

What's happening in San Francisco?

Mass homelessness, areas that you can't go to because of violent crime. Streets full of shit. Because housing got so expensive, there are huge amounts of people in tents on the sides of streets. All over the US and the rest of the world for that matter, homelessness has become a huge issue. Once it became a thing to commoditise housing it's pushed people out of the system.

What’s the much bigger problem?
Have a look at what’s happening to policing and the law. People feel emboldened to act like this because we have become very selective about enforcing the law. We have also created through some really poor policy’s by governments of both stripes a demand for housing that can’t be met and we have a mental health, cost of living and drug crisis. You put all of that together and basically imo you’ve set the conditions that give you lawless unliveable cities.

People scream about social security and handouts etc but it’s the social safety net including access to housing, education, health etc along with clear fair laws that are applied without fear or favour that have kept this country one of the worlds most liveable.

What's happening in San Francisco?
Place is falling apart, lawless city with homeless everywhere. Businesses closing and leaving the city and state in droves while prosecutors refuse to enforce the law and politicians talk about reparations in a state which didn’t have slavery, you can’t make this shit up.

That and many other problems, it’s a disaster.

I agree with most of that but not the drug crisis.

We don't really have a drug crisis in Australia. People who mainly follow US politics think it's the case but I haven't seen any stats to support it - arrests for drug offences, hospital admissions or deaths for overdoses, etc. We have an order of magnitude less social disintegration than the US and that shows in these measures.

I don't know anything about "become very selective about enforcing the law" - are you saying the police see offences but don't enforce them?

Don't you just get fake ones if it's as a deterrent? I wouldn't personally be comfortable sending footage of my house to the cloud, I don't trust where that might end up.

Certainly not on the same scale but it’s getting worse and we’re starting to see fentanyl.
