Re: The random "footy" thoughts thread

On Footy Classfied at the end where they said in the Age "People are Joining the Pies because we can possibly win a Flag" During that the Idiot Thomas just Laughed at it.

Yeah, but didn't he also say the Saint's window was almost closed a year ago? He couldn't do anything much in his tenure with a bloody good outfit.

Re: The random "footy" thoughts thread

anyone else more nervous about the dees then doggies. I hate it when the media hype gets going.

I am.

Last week I was fine, I was excited and expectant of a good performance.
And also last week I didn't feel any pressure at all, we were expected to lose by all, yet I was always confident we would at least go close to winning, if not win ourselves.

This week, while I am firm in the belief we will not lose, there is more "on the line" this week.

Win in any fashion, and we will be 2-0 for the first time in several years, leading into one of the biggest home and away matchups there will be.

I think it's the fact that if Melbourne preformed a miracle and beat us, it would be by far the most embarrassing loss we have had in a while.

We didn't have a lot to lose last week, this week we are expected to win, and the pressure is on a little more.

I'm nervous though, hope we can perform again close to the level we did on Sunday, because if we do we will win easily.:)

Re: The random "footy" thoughts thread

Go watch Melbourne play the Hawks and you wont be worried anymore. Pathetic

Exactly. Melbourne were terrible.

I can't see how anyone is slightly nervous about this game. We will not only win, but win convincingly.

Yes Melbourne may come out firing and dish it up for a quarter, even a half if they are lucky, but the days of upset losses are over and as we showed last year we bury teams like Melbourne.

I'm tipping Collingwood by 60

Re: The random "footy" thoughts thread

Didn't think this was a thread worthy thought, but I think it is funny.

Does anyone else think it is quite hilarious that OPSM are now sponsoring the umpires?

I found it funny, don't know if you guys will.

Re: The random "footy" thoughts thread

I thought it was quite ironic as well.
Even more so when I heard the umpire thought it was a great idea...lol.

Next year maybe Anusol wipes...:eek::eek::eek:

Re: The random "footy" thoughts thread

does anyone think the club should make all future captains wear the number 5 after bucks and maxy .... a bit a richmond/jack dyer thing?
mmm nah the day i dread the most sadly, when buckley dies, i would like the number to be retired.

there will never be another nathan buckley.

Quick question regarding membership

Hi guys, I am wondering if I buy memberships before this Saturday will we get our cards in time?

I'm not really sure how this membership deal works.
As I understand it if we get a 3 game membership and after the 3 games do we then get the membership price for future games?
I think it's half price?

Thanks in advance!

Re: The random "footy" thoughts thread

Does anyone know why Nick Maxwell has that yellow smear of something on his chest?

Sometimes it's over the Collingwood logo, but then it's in the middle of his chest.

On the Guernsey of course.

If anyone knows what it is, please let me know, its been bugging me for ages.

Re: Quick question regarding membership

Not unless they tell you to pick it up from the club on Saturday. Friday is also a public holiday, which pretty much leaves them no time to send it out.

Residue, from coming into close body contact with nervous forwards.
