Rooch should do stand up.

Lade at 35 .....

bahaahahah.

Hmmm.... the greatest influence in shaping the race for this year's premiership

Brendan Lade 2007 - AA Ruckman - Port make the GF.
Brendan Lade 2008 - dropped mid-year for 4 matches - Port miss the 8.

Nowhere near saying he is the only reason, but there is a correlation between how well Lade plays and Port's chances for a flag.

Hmmm and when he retires...? ;)

Clearly he isn't in the top 50, however he is and has been a great ruckmen for Port and has carried their rucks for a while...

Something about Collingwood players turns him batshit insane... Davis at #18 and Anthony at #50, but no Cloke, Swan, or Pendlebury.

Surely it's a pisstake?

Absolute gagger. Pendlebury and Swan should be in there. Cloke shouldn't but it wouldn't be laughable like Anthony. Anthony wouldn't be in the top 250!

Want to guess how many of the others in Rucci's top 50 list were sent back to the Magoos or the local league for 4 weeks last year? (excluding those with issues with parked cars).

I would guess Rucci watches both games involving Adelaide teams and maybe a couple of others a week. Which would explain some of his disrepancies ie Neon Leon always cuts it up in Adelaide and Cameron Ling always shuts down the top midfielder from SA.

But forget Rucci, what I want to see is the great Graham Cornes Top 50 :)

On a couple of trips to Adelaide I had the pleasure of reading his columns. His Top 50 would be very funny (not intentionally).

I can't understand why these knuckleheads think that Judd will overtake Buddy this year. Considering Buddy is young, plays in a much more difficult position and looking outrageously fit, while Judd is 26 and not going to improve anymore it honestly staggers belief that people aren't predicting him to improve.
Chris Judd is three years younger than Greg Williams when he joined Carlton.

Both players had doubts over their longevity in the game after joining Carlton under an injury cloud and in a controversial change of clubs.

Yet Diesel won his second Brownlow at 31 years of age (should have been three if Russo wasn't a blind twat) and justified that trade ten fold.

Judd is not dead yet.

Judd ready to explode
"The last two years I haven't been able to do any meaningful leg weights," Judd said at the AFL Captains' gathering at Etihad Stadium.

"This year I've been able to have a go at them and that's less a remedial thing and more about power and actually hitting full speed and full strength."

So what?

Judd would have to improve significantly on his 2007/2008 seasons to go past Buddy, it just aint happening.

And FWIW, Deisel in his prime was not as valuable as Buddy is right now. Diesel is of absolutely no relevance to this discussion. It was a nice trip down memory lane for you though I suppose.

i may sound like a supporter if I question how he can put studley big head in front of Roo, but to put him in front of pav was a joke.....except that rucci writes exclusively for sa people so he IS appealing to his (limited) audience.

he hasn't appealed to South Australians ever, he only gets a gig because he has a photo of mike rann.

Re: My Top 50 Players

better than rucci's effort. hard to know where to rate cousins. i wouldnt have hille, roughead that high, maybe around the 25-30 mark. and mcveigh prob a bit too high. would have pavlich and deledio higher. wouldnt have eagleton in there. pretty good otherwise.
