Sometimes its easy to forget that quite a few out in listener land are on their own, and the radio talkback is like a companion..

..just bite your tongues, take a deep breath, and have a little patience when people come on who are like the above, we don't know the circumstances in which they live.....they may have no outside contacts at all for all we know.

Anyone remember Jason from Boronia I think it was from the early days? Think he was a West Coast fan.

Have heard him ring up 3aw a few times after a game or on Sports Today , mostly when Tim Lane is on.

Was a lot more pics on the old Sen MySpace page when the Sen hosts had Jason in at Sen as a guest a few times , could only google this one up though. Googling ( Jason from Boronia Sen MySpace )

This thread has become all nostalgic. Kinda good timing considering SEN are approaching their 10th birthday on Jan 19 of 2014. Have listened since the start and am very glad it is still around, wonder if the station will do something to celebrate?

I suggest that we get Bedford to cut the Big 10th Birthday cake and just as he does have Schibecsta pop out of it and give Bedford a big juicy kiss. :p

Is it really that long??...I started listening to MG when Gary and Billy were there a couple of months after they started. Ring of Fire was on after midnight.....who were those guys by the way, I've never known....they were good.

yep confirm that's him and his old man

Here's some more nostalgia , Billy from Inverloch/ West Hidelberg , is on the phone right now with Bruce and Simon on 3aw talking about favourite foods

Someone at Sen should donate Billy an Internet connection and a Skype account so he can call in again , too expensive for him otherwise

Haha I miss the "he's a dud" calls. With Richmond making finals this season, would've nice to hear him overnights.

Horse racing is a great sport....I was raised into a racing family, and I also trained greyhounds for many years...

..and I never have a bet, never did....I just love the animals and the challenge of training them to be their best.

Not everyone involved in the sport bets.....although I know that a large percentage do.

Glad SEN are doing racing over the summer and Dr Turf is a national treasure:p:thumbsu:

Ok, now I feel a bit bad. :D ...or maybe I should stick to my opinion and not be a pussy. :)

I'm sure there are a lot of great people in racing, especially those who love the horses and work tirelessly, particularly the hot strapper chicks. :p .... and Francesca, of course.

I feel sorry for the jockeys. I did a job at Mooney Valley a couple of years ago (a very a nice place, especially at night), and it was first time I'd ever been to a horse race in me life. It was also the first time I'd ever seen a jockey in person and, it may sound silly, but i was shocked at how tiny there were. I mean, I obviously knew they were short, but there's nothing of them: no arses, barely any legs. Poor buggers.

I don't remember the title of their show, but I remember on world Sport Overnight they used to have Tony from Feddish Bar and this character called The Agitator who was supposed to be a Journalist of some repute and would always interrupt the caller and talk over the top of them when they were owning him. Do these guys ring a bell? I think Brett Phillips booted them right away when he took over on overnights.

you know

fair dinkum

He wasn't on last night though

I think Ray might read this thread on BigFooty , he has said in the past that he knows Trout being a fellow Richmond cheer squad , who does post on BigFooty.

In his call just now Ray just said "I don't care what people think of my opinions , its my opinion"

Hi Ray keep ringing in to Sen :thumbsu:

Whatever happened to that opiniated Hawthorn and Arsenal fan from Italian heritage?
The one who claimed 12 months ago Hawthorn wouldn't make the eight in 2013? :)
