Funny, I was a Young Doctors addict back in the day and I also knew that Gai did some acting when she was young but I don't actually remember her being in this (I didn't think she appeared in anything in Australia actually).
Me, too. I watched it a lot when I was a kid, and I don't remember her being on it

Good interview this morning with KB and Chris Anstey.

Both argued their case well, but respected what the other was saying.

Why isn't Anstey still playing? Injuries? Did he want to give the younger guys a crack? Was he super-keen to start coaching, or was he just 'jack' of treading the boards (inside the lines)?

Surely, a player of his caliber could still be playing in our league at 38.

he finished his career as a 7' 3-pt shooter. srs. when you're athletic and rangy get on the block!!!

7:21 pm "Carlos Alberto" from the Sen Soccer show just called up Gerard and Dwayne on 3aw Sports Today asking why they weren't talking about Ange being appointed Socceroos coach.
Carlos Alberto can get stuffed! He's a potato.

Like me, those two know that Ange being coach is not necessarily a good news story. The way that idiot has gone on about the socceroos, Ange, hanging it on Osieck, and his piffy justifications have made me want to go to the station and slap the clown. I'd much rather listen to Bedford tell me of all the reasons why motorsport isn't a sport, or is ****.

I remember last week. He's knocking Osieck for not playing the young kids and not rating them, but his mates in the VPL reckon the young kids are of sufficient talent.

He's not a soccer expert, he's a "kissing your sister" soccer expert.

Ha. I heard that. The following talkback caller told them who he was, coz he called himself John. Ha.

As Dwayne ('John' called him 'Wayne' :p) said, they spoke to Ian Robson for about 7 minutes, and they reckon he was the only 'main soccer dude' who'd come on the show.

Someone should ring up Carlos when he's next on with Harf and ask "Can I speak to John please?".

Ha. They just said that Carlos isn't in Australia, so maybe it wasn't him.
:D
Or were they talking about another Carlos?
\
eh, who really cares?! :p

Yes I heard them say that

A few minutes later on the 4 deigos they said that they wanted to clear something up , as they just received a text asking them what Carlos was doing calling into 3aw tonight

And they said that it didn't happen tonight , but it did happen a few years ago.

Schibecster at his worst.

They were talking about the Crameri trade and he said "Samone from the bulldogs will be on the run home"

Harfs says "Samone who"

"Oh sorry, that should have been some one from the bulldogs".

Was "Simone from the Bulldogs" that he said , still funny though when Harf said "Simone who ?"

Ha. That's kinda like when Marco was reading something on air which said that Brett Lee was "the firecrest fast bowler", instead of "fiercest".
Pickers laughed at him, then Marco said: "but look, it's typed that way."
Then Pickers rightly said: "yeah, but you should be smart enough to immediately realize what it should've said". The same goes for Shiblocci, I reckon. :p

I've asked this before, but wasn't Breaky-Schibecci's previous job working in an abattoir, or something similar? How does someone like that go from an abattoir to an on-air radio 'career'?
He must've known someone.

I hadn't heard about him working in an abattoir, But my Dad used to work with him in the banking industry back in the 90's.

Because the Schibecsta is a survivor , when others all around him have come and gone the Schibecsta is still standing.

I would say its because he is an honest reliable person , I wouldn't think there would be anyone that could have a genuine bad word to say about Tony in media circles.

Yep, I've also said this before: he's probably a good guy, works cheap, and will do anything at any time.
Like, who else would wanna sit on a milk crate for 72 hours outside AFL House? :p

Lol, absolute classic Schibecster :D

Very true. He seems like a really nice bloke and he's the one who is always there at the drop of a hat to fill in when Simone Samone someone is sick or whatever. Not the sharpest tool in the shed but I would take one Schibecster over ten Fineys any day.
