I'm with you on this one. She isn't employed for her looks or any of her jobs don't rely on looks so why comment on it? If she was a model of some kind and you make comments then that's fair.

Although it does show the biased/unfair advantage the hot women get in this day and age. You have those that work their butts off and don't get anywhere compared to a dumb blonde with a body and looks to kill that get it all.

OH dont be so ridiculous. SO what ur saying is that she is allowed to go on national Tv and on radio and make disparaging comments about peoples personal lives, which in the past HAS INCLUDED HOW THEY LOOK (e.g how many times has she made a comment about someone, and when Snoran or Harf ask her what she means by it she replies "well just have a look at him/her..."), but we, the viewers/listeners can make the same comments about her cos she is female?

Well by that rationale, you have to be famous to be able to comment on her.

Doran - "I reckon Tambling was a top 3 pick"... let's go through it.
1. Deledio
2. Roughead
3. Griffin
4. Tambling

And with Rita, she's a very sexist person. Not condoning what she says is right but two wrongs don't make a right.

I heard that too.

And then he asks Troy Simmons, why haven't we seen Tambling's best?

Was he expecting him to say anything negative about Richard?

Doran needs to go to Interview school.

Doran likes to ask the questions that a normal person wouldn't. He's more a couch talkshow type interviewer than a sports presenter.

sorry brother just remembered what i meaned by that what i was asking was she did have afl media accreditation but then she didunt

i put something on the old thread what sayed that i had heared that she had it taken away because some players complained about her being in there face straight after a game but her son tolled me on facebook this was not true

so maybe someone knows why

Are you alright in the head?

Can't figure out whether you are 'touched' or just pretending to be ******ed?

Don't mean any disrespect but can't figure out what you are on about.

To try and answer your question, from what i can work out she doesn't need accreditation to do her job so why would she have it? She may have had it in the past for her job but as if the AFL is going to pull someone's accreditation for getting in the players faces as you put it. If that was the case then most of the media including all the tv reporters you see chasing the players with a microphone after a game would have their accreditation pulled.

I had a mate who had accreditiaton for the AFL for a few years, he could get in to every game free even if he wasn't working at it. He got a new pass every year so you obviously have to apply every year and have a reason for needing it.

Not at all, my rationale if u read it properly was that she is a person off the street coming making public criticism on all sorts of peoples private affairs including how they look, so why cant people have the right to make comments back about her, including how she looks? Is is because she is female? Is it because apparently she is now know as a "Social Commentator" so she is allowed to?

Look i wasn't trying to be a pig about it. I actually like her and most of what she says but I don't think its that terrible to say she would be hot if she lost weight. I agree that women in the media are judged too much on what they look like.
Peace?:)

Like I said before, feel free to comment away on how she should lose a few kilos or whatever else you want to say, but I still reckon making that type of comment reflects more on your own shallowness than anything else.

If u scroll back through the page u wont find any comment about her appearance by myself, i couldnt give a rats a*se what she looks like. But i am saying that people have every right to comment on her if she continually puts herself on trashy tabloid shows like Current Affair going on her feministic rants on subjects that she knows no more about than any of us do. And the subjects she decides to comment on are as much none of her business as they are none of ours.

I'm not arguing the rights, not even arguing the ethics.

All I'm saying is it is shallow. Even more so when it comes from words hidden behind anonymous screen names.

My opinion, don't care if anyone agrees.

Starting to think you don't have respect for women and cause you don't agree with her you want a reason to criticise. Why do you think Neil Mitchell or Peter Ford or any of the other regular commentators get on tv to talk about stuff? Someone decides that their opinion is worth hearing and puts them on tv or on the radio. Same with Hinch or Laws or any of the other radio jocks, do you think they are more entitled to an opinion cause they are male?
I only hear her every other week but from what i have heard she is not a feminist! Not even close, what are you on about?

Fair enough then. I say its no less shallow than critisising peoples private lives and their looks from the safety of a radio booth or TV studio, instead of discussing it with them face to face.

She had her name and face to those comments at least. Not a screen name.

Didnt say she was a feminist, i said she went on feministic rants - feel free to bring up one of her crusades that involved a female being her target. I have nothing against women - my stance doesnt change for anyone else, male or female, that decides to put themselves up on a pedestal and believe they have the right to publicly criticise and belittle other people's private lives and appearance.

Tell me why it is acceptable for her or Mitchell, etc to be able to do this but its shallow/sexist for people on an internet forum to make comment back towards them?

SO that makes it ok for her to do it? SO because us mere mortals dont have the privilege of getting our faces/voices on TV/radio, we are not allowed to comment?

Plus she gets paid to do that. Its part of her job not just wasting time on the net when we're supposed to be working.;)

People that actually get paid to do it sink even lower in my estimation. I dont make my living out of criticising people and their lies based on what i read in gossip mags and tabloid newspapers...

Good point about the wasting time at work though, got me there...:D

It is shallow if you return comment only by saying how she looks. Its not if you say I reckon she's talking crap.

You seemed to be just targeting her right to do her job but didn't mention all the other talking heads in the media who do the same thing, difference is most of them are male. I've heard her have a go at footballer's wives and Greg Norman's ex for putting up with their men screwing around and then running to the women's magazines wanting sympathy and money when the men finally leave them. And the best thing I've ever heard her do was her rant on Germaine Grear, after what she said about Steve Irwin. Don't think too many card carrying feminists would be attacking Greer like that.:D

I don't think there is anything wrong with us having a go at media people, I think we are entitled to criticise anything about them that we want. I didn't want to be a pig about it, I just said that she would be really hot if she lost weight. I know its shallow but thats what i think.
