At it's peak it was. Later on? not so much.

I found SHH incredibly cringy and downright awful.

I can take a little bit of 'offensive" comedy, I do like The Office UK for instance despite the blatant sexism in it, but there's too questionable shit in SHH. An older girl in a relationship with a 12 yr old. A teacher demonstrating appropriate and inappropriate hugging on a special needs kid. Was just uncomforting to watch really. Didn't even have the redeeming feature of being funny in any way.

Anyway, just my take on it.

I like The Office (UK, I don't like Steve Carrell) because, despite it having a lot of sexism, it's actually got value in it, it's good humour and Ricky Gervais is a comedy genius.

If it's good enough, I can look past certain offensive jokes in it, maybe even laugh if they are funny enough.

Comedy doesn't have to be offensive to be funny though.
