very impressive performance by the vfl team, i feel like most of essendon's vfl team was either afl or previously afl listed players

so for us to have as little as we had, especially with young going down very early, was a great win, on a great round, on the bloody MCG. great effort and great coaching

You're right. When your mids play proactively and try and shark the footy off the oppo ruckmans hands it normally works out positively.
However, for some reason in the ones we play on the defensive side of oppo mids at centre bounce which results in us playing reactive footy.

Watched about 20 minutes and those numbers are no surprise. Completely outsized but we were winning clearances.

Used to see opposition doing well against Sandilands; the greater the dominance, the greater the certainty.
