My mum’s dog really needs to be put down but she can’t let her go 😭 it’s so awful

It's a hard call to make.

Sometimes it's worse on the animal holding on.

Not good news 😪.

I agree, it's not fair on the poor doggy. She's not in a good way :sadv1:
We get attached to our pets they are family members.

Sometimes us as people don't wanna hear ,what we already know..😪.

We lost a cat last year we knew she was sick and we already made the call in our heads.
But she passed away at home.i put her in the garden.

One of my best and supportive friends is online, a Mexican-American lady called Alejandra, who has been so supportive and kind and funny to me since the start of the Covid/Lockdown pandemic (we found each other via an online Simpsons Twitter Group)
We have both sent each other gifts to each other and strengthened our friendship via chats via discord and playing Animal Crossing New Horizons together via the Switch.

However she has decided to take a break for mental health's sake after Trump's election win and it makes me so depressed and angry.

I miss her daily Facebook posts with Simpsons and other funny and hilarious posts.

She is one of the most upbeat and happy people I have known (albeit on an online basis) and she seemingly has been crushed by Trump and taken a sabbatical from online activity since Dildo Trump's election.

I just hope she is okay and doing well.

Lots of different reasons why people struggle with things.

Everyone has their struggles.

Hopefully your friend on the mend soon.

I feel blue. The latest foster dog went home today. Which is obviously good, but I thought I was better prepared for it than I've turned out to be. The place feels super quiet and empty now :(

Are you going to get yourself another doggie.

I've still got the resident dog, but she needs a little break from fostering I think, this one was pretty tiring for her.

I don't think I could foster.

But probably look at rescue next time.
The last 5 doggies I've had been from puppy.

I’ve just been offered a pure bred kelpie, I already have two kelpie x collies but would love a pure kelpie

The resident dog was a rescue/foster fail, I've had her from when she was found dumped, alone as a 6 week old, and I could never give her up after bottle feeding her. She's been an incredible foster sibling, but she's getting to an age now where she has to be the top consideration with any future fosters. This one was probably a little unfair on her, we didn't really know what we were getting in for when we agreed to it at the last minute when she had nowhere else to go and was on the pts list.

I don't agree that giving up fosters gets easier, but I do think you get better at mentally preparing yourself. And that was the issue today. This was the first dog I've ever fostered that I'd never really had a moment with - a moment of gratitude, a moment where you feel her leave her past behind, even a moment of basic affection - so I didn't think I was so attached, I just hadn't spent the 24 hours leading up to handover preparing for it.

Do It GIF

Do it MP .

I picked up my little doggie western Highland terrier couple years back.
I don't regret it at all ...even tho he's my 3rd doggie .
He's a. Great little character.
Took my other 2 about 8-10 weeks for them to let him in the pack .

One of my old dogs was part kelpie .
I was looking for a Smithfield , but left with fudge/nudge..
He was such a character ball crazy...I would say can't reach and he'll drop the ball closer.
He would drop a tennis ball in the un mowed row so I have to throw the ball out of the way.

Losing him was the hardest thing ever as a pet owner.

My daughter’s dog who lives with us, had surgery yesterday as he had been vomiting and it turns out he had a blockage.

Recovery isn’t going well at all and it’s now very much touch and go.

To say my heart is breaking is an understatement

Hopefully the doggie pulls though.

My latest is a combination. She's a rescue puppy. 3 months old and chewing everything within reach, including me.

They've put a broom through our workplace, gone from 12 to 6 nationally now. The shit thing is we've lost good people and kept some shit ones (sackings purely location based).

Glad to be still here but now i'll be in a national role which means travel and I really CBF with that
Downturn? Trimming up for a sale?

My Westie barely chewed much .
A bit of the spa cord and speaker wire.

He's boat bed still in near new nick.

If your doggie is biting I know how to stop that.
