Today would have been my first love's 38th birthday but he died 18 years ago tomorrow. New Years Day always makes me sad.
I said in another thread it was twenty five years ago for me just before Christmas. Barely a week goes past when something doesn't remind me of Lachy and how much he would have loved the twenty first century. Dammit woman now my eyes are leaking.

The reality of my partners heart failure has hit both of us overnight. She’s been googling (which she shouldnt be!) life expectancy and recovery etc. and i have no answers or know what to say.
I don’t know if this is helpful but I read this in yesterday’s paper

Good luck to your partner anyway.

Today I went out for lunch with three friends from my previous school, who have all now moved on to other schools as well. We went to farewell one of them who is moving to Murray Bridge. It was good seeing them but it also felt a bit sad as it was probably the last time we'll meet as a group. They were the best group of people to work with.
