And whilst still on Cricket, yesterday when we were acknowledging Jane McGrath and breast cancer, the man who made a ton Matty Wade also beat testicular cancer at the age of 16. It explains the reaction from his teammates especially Captain Clarke. :thumbsu:
I wrote a blog on this yesterday condemning how men's health takes a backward seat over women's health in this country. Both should be treated equally, but it's up to us to get our heads out of the caveman era and talk about it ourselves first.

(this may be a bit too serious for this thread)

The Gillard govt has slashed funding for cancer and yet she was still there on day two 'supporting' the day and fishing for votes.

I guess at least Movember has gone some of the way towards addressing this but still a long way to go. You'd be hard pressed to find a more enjoyable fundraiser and one that has grown so quickly.

Noticed all the NHL players doing it last hockey season. Not this season though. Stupid strikes. Imagine losing 2 footy seasons in 8 years?

Trouble with Movember its almost run its race. Its not supported as much now as when it first started. I agree with Tugga, and more males die of prostate cancer than women and brest/cervical combined (not demeaning those)

My advice is to go find a cute female Doc with little fingers and get a free tickle. It could save your life.

Digital exam still only covers 50% of the prostate area itself. The part that the finger can't get to is left unexamined. A PSA blood test is the best way.

Disagree completely. It first started just in Australia. Last year, more than 20 countries were involved and raised over $120 million. Australia has now been overtaken by Canada and the UK for funds raised. In 2012, it was named in the top 100 NGO's in the world.

Im not going by official figures just the percieved lack of support this year. Hardly anyone i knew grew one, those in media and sport were way down on previous years. The only two off hand i can think off was Wade and Warner. When it first started it seemed like every man and his dog was growing.

Just to add, he was hit in the groin playing u16s footy, had full on chemo, lost his hair etc and overcome it to play in the Australian u19s cricket team.

The silly thing is their are only 4 Vics in the Renagades this year. Makes it hard to pick a permanent side. To much chopping and changing in the whole comp. I would like to see some kind of 3 season rule for all local players.

Plus Scorchers are way better :D

**** me we get hosed in this country, a bloke I know from San Francisco was telling me how he was reluctant to pay 12.99 for a six pack of some imported Belgian beer and when I laughed at him and called him a tightarse , he pointed out that he can get a twelve pack of Newcastle from his local for 10.99 all day, every day.
Some brands you can get 12's of for as little as 7 bucks.

And there I was just having paid 60 for a case of Hoegaarden.
