I heard part of an interview with Hinkley on 5AA.
He indicated that Port would be prepared to give Essendon Pick 16 for Ryder.
I'm not sure that they will get anything better from anyone else so i'd think that is where he will end up.

I almost feel sorry for Collingwood... Actually who am I kidding, if Gibbs had said he wanted to return to SA - we'd be spewing and they'd take pleasure in our grief so suck it Pies. Sucks for Beamer and his family going through what he is, but for the club - no sympathy. The culture they've created is clearly not a good one so I dare say that it wouldn't help Beams wanting to stay. Good to see promise in our walls whilst they're in disarray.

Don't know about that. Six first round draft picks in the last two years, and they may end up with 3-4 this year. They are backing their recruitment department and building well.

It's a top idea dismantling a premiership list in the hope of achieving success some time down the road.
Collingwood were in a position to enjoy similar long term success like Geelong, Sydney & Hawthorn have. Just like these 3 teams, all Collingwood needed to do was top up & there was no reason why they would not have won 2 or 3 premierships. Of course this opportunity was lost due to the single-minded attitude of Eddie McGuire.
I would take current premiership success ahead of what might be, 5 or 6 years down the road (remember a list full of 1st round draft picks does not necessarily equal premiership success).

yep, looks like Brisbane will need to cough up #4 (5) plus big bucks for Beams. Finding the extra $ for Ryder could be a stretch, making Port 'favourite' as Hinkley is prepared to offer #16 (17)

The problem with beating cancer is the body had been smashed so much doing so it has little fuel in the tank and it takes a minor drama to stuff things up. Often people beat cancer but soon suffer from an unrelated thing the body is too exhausted to fight. A minor infection becomes septicaemia a cold becomes pneumonia . And even if not you screwed cancer - enjoy life
Beyond me how nobody liked this.
