This isn't a rumour, but will post here as there was talk of Ed yesterday.

Bumped into him at the gym this morning, was working away on the chest press and looked up and there's Ed on the machine opposite, needless to say i struck up a convo, merry xmas etc...very friendly guy, looking super super fit...planking with a 25kg weight on his back , what a physique !
Will play pre season

I love these little tidbits from player encounters. Needs a thread of its own

Love Ed. I wish he'd grow the crazy hair back.

Bell's short kicking game and precision kicking overall is mediocre but he can certainly kick the ball far enough.

Needs to involve himself in the game more though.

It's his gut running and ability to run through the contest I like. Has limitations but the ability to hurt an opponent physically is underrated.

Would have been playing for Hawthorn if we didnt snavel him. All players have limitations and there is very rarely a player that has all the attributes. A good team allows the player to play to his strengths and that's why teams like Hawthorn and Geelong make the kids look so good, because they only have to go out and do their role. Curnow would look like an A grader in a top 4 club and we should all feel lucky we have him. As this side comes together (and we are heading in the right direction) he is just going to rise like cream to the top. We are going to lose Judd and Carrazzo, however we are gaining Kreuzer and Thomas effectively which are two A grade players we really havent been able to have or rely upon and in 2015 we will have all those players. He missed 8 games in 2014 and struggled from there and prior to that he was struggling with a side that had 22 off season surgeries so I really dont think we saw the best in Curnow last year, not by a long shot. Going to be a cracking 2015!

Heard on the grapevine that if all goes well for Judd next year, he might play again in 2016

And so he should. People wrote him off as soon as he hit 30 but there have been plenty of 30+ mids running around.

If we could get Judd to play on in 2016 I'd be more than happy to see him only play half the season in 2015. In the meantime we can get games into bell, whiley, graham, cripps and holman to really build the midfield up. The opportunities there for them to step up.
