Sat next to Ackland...he's on the train.
Under Figjam - everyone is a battlerBut he is just a battler.
I think that you could see Port making a play for JR and T-Bird considering the players they are hemorrhaging over there. I could also see them making a play to trade Dawes as well. They will be needing the experienced players.Port interested in JR again.
Rumors are floating around that his current contract is below market value

Wiggo was driving the 1st class train, so we missed him.Sat next to Ackland...
Not sure why there's this idea that Dawes is an incapable footballer. He is only young and has played very well for the majority of his career. One poor season, in which he was used as a ruck for a lot of the time, shouldn't be the bottom line on what kind of player he is and can be.
He's a power forward, and a good one, not a ruckman.
Just know we had fun Stig.Yes indeed, was off with the pixies on Monday, a strange and baffling evening of Booze, Beatles, Beach Boys & continental cigarettes.
I'm so ashamed.
Dawes has definitely walked. As soon as they bought Lynch, he wanted out. I'd love to get him.tbh I think They've lost the plot, going for Lynch to deny us , and then lose Dawes because he was rubbish this year. Crazy decision by the Pies.

Dawes would be a good stay at home full forward for us. Certainly capable of crashing packs, and is more than adept at ground level. Dawes seems to have good durability. If we can snag him with a second round pick, I'd be all for it. We have more to offer Dawes than Melbourne.

Spot on. Tippett and Cloke were the ones we had to look in to. Now they're off the table (Apparently Tippett negotiations are at Cloke money levels and we're out) we should focus on diamonds in the rough and Caddy/Toy/Jacobs etc etc.Yes, but so would the fellow we signed for two years yesterday. Dawes is the better kick though.
If we were to acquire Dawes then giving Casboult two years along with drafting Mitchell and more recently Rowe just doesn't make sense.
Its a good point, but everything we hear is pointed towards Mick thinking we need another KP player.
For me, its out of Casboult and Hampson for the 3rd tall/2nd Ruck spot. Dawes is a genuine forward. A forward line of:
Walker Waite Garlett
Betts Dawes Hampson
Looks dangerous to me.

Not many other forwards worth the draft picks and money.
Melbourne can have Dawes if they're prepared to give up a second round pick. Or possibly Gysberts and Cook.Dawes would be a good stay at home full forward for us. I wouldn't be surprised if we made a genuine play for Mitch Brown (WC) either. Said to be interested in a move home. Hopefully Nathan can put in a decent word about Mick
Would love to know Mick's thoughts on Henderson, and whether he wants him down back, or up front. Mitch Brown or Hansen would give us a lot of flexibility.

Given this is page 206 of the rumor thread, surely someone can provide a rumor about 206?
