ORRRRR maybe you are just a big fat stinky liar with a major case of sour grapes. I guess we can revisit Round 2 next year when Mr Thomas touches up your mob with 30 possies & 3 goals.

No, given what I believe to be true, I'm glad he has gone. He was a great player when fit, and for his part, I hope he gets back to be the player that he was in 2010-2011.

The only possible liar in these posts of mine would be the Carlton supporter who told me the story. In your case though, igmorance is bliss.

PS. Is Round 2 next year to be played in Disneyland????:)

Actually, igmorance is just bad spelling.

Just because someone else passes along a rumour doesn't make him a liar. Just like you're not a liar for passing along his rumour. This is the reason why we have a rumour file. Just take a look around bigfooty and see how many completely gullible people there is. From all clubs. So don't feel silly that you're one of them.

In all seriousness, do you believe an AFL player (any AFL player) would make an off the cuff remark about his future playing prospects to anyone outside of close family & the inner sanctum of his football club? Your claims sound no different to the claims made by a poster on here a couple of years ago that Marc Murphy's career was over, on the basis of a conversation allegedly overheard at a physio's rooms.

No AFL club, I repeat, no AFL club would sign any player to a 4 year, $2.5m contract without ensuring a thorough medical examination is undertaken. AFL clubs can no longer afford to indulge in such reckless behaviour. No AFL coach, nor list manager would be stupid enough to risk their career in this way.

Daisy is a very close friend with the guy's son. Has been for years.

I am not making the claims, I am simply telling you what was related to me. As I said, I can't say it is 100% correct because I was not present when the conversation took place.

As this is your rumour file, it appeared an appropriate place to put it. If you choose not to believe it, that's your perogative.

You are surely aware that there are more than this rumour going around about DT's ankle being a big problem.

i wouldn't imagine any person, after getting over the emotions of losing a player, want to see any player hobbled by injuries. After all it is only a game of football. Nothing more.

Seriously, all of a sudden every single Collingwood person has become a doctor overnight. Everyone claiming his ankles are stuffed, but had he decided to stay thing would have been totally different.
Secondly, we are a football club, not a bloody circus. The club would have done all the right things and looked into his injury. You don't just throw 700k a year at a guy who has suspect ankles

Use your common sense people.
/END of my rant.

O.k run along now.

You have made your point and did not supply the link to the post liked i asked and you are just pushing an agenda that we do not want on our board from opposition/Pie supporters as they are full to the top on sour grapes.

Agree, particularly the ones who can kick straight....;)

And always worth remembering, they knocked back Stevie J a few years ago, because his ankle was 'shot'. Good call Pies.

The truth is, only time will tell how fit Daisy is. Lets hope he's 100% good to go.

And re McKays comments today - love it. No Didak TICK. And I'm happy for us to consider Chappy. If you're only as good as your last game, he kicked 4 goals in a final. IMHO, worth a punt.

Apparently Judd's groin was shot and we paid overs to get him ... you know how this ends don't you?

Apparently Stevie J's ankle was shot and the Pies doctor said stay away ... you know how that ended don't you.

Apparently Thomas' ankle is shot and we're paying overs to get him ... how's it going to end Doc?

Daisy's ankle is completely fine. Will do a full preseason (should no other hiccups occur).

Exactly.
Not a snowflakes chance in hell Carlton would fork out $700k a year on someone if their ankle is as bad as the Collingwood supporters are making out. Even if this player is Malthouse's BFF.

Said poster never said his career was over...
Said poster claimed Murphy was suffering from OP
But close enough...

Nice rumour thread BTW

And that it could be career ending.

Regardless, said poster was clearly making it up, in much the same way as the poster who claims he was told by a customer that Thomas had told a 'friend' his ankles (not ankle, but ankles) were shot & he will be finished in a year. Making stuff up about player injuries is just not on IMO.

Could is very different to is....
Clearly the your intellectual level has remained stagnant since then maybe even gone backwards

And as an edit said poster wasn't making it up ;)
You should ask murph about it one day...
