The simple fact if the matter is no video evidence has concluded it was a goal or a point. Therefore the umpires decision should stand, a goal.

I would be as unhappy about as I am no matter which team copped this decision. If it happens to one team, it will happen to another.

I agree the same for me. I actually was saving this to my wife - back in the 90's when an injustice or a massive error happened that people felt like it cost them the game -everyone got outraged over it and everyone said it was not good enough. The Footy Show would usually do a big T up on it on Thursday Night & Mike Sheehan would generally add genuine balance to it on Monday via Talking Footy. But everyone cared if the games integrity was hurt by officiating error. Now, no one gives a shit if the victim is their enemy.

Its not just AFL/Sports - this same mentality has happened in society as a whole, including politics, celebrity etc.

It’s difficult to imagine why the afl haven’t shared the footage with the world if it was conclusive. Surely they are in dire need of building some confidence in their shoddy review system and this is a prime opportunity to give it a lift. I call BS on the secret footage.

I agree. This is the worst thing to have come out of AFL house that I can remember. Our club needs to keep hammering this until the AFL admit what happened here.

I’m not buying into corruption with the decision. For a start, it all happened too quickly for that, but this was incompetence and needs to be addressed.

Funny, if it was a sex or drug scandal, the press would be harassing that person incessantly but the clown in the bunker is facing no scrutiny at all despite costing a team a final through incompetence.

Did anybody watch the Sunday footy show? At the start they mentioned the ARC debacle and said they would get more into it later in the show. A bit Later Tony Jones gets a text and looks a bit flustered reading it to himself as the panel is getting into him. He did not give anything away but did look a bit taken aback by it. For the rest of the show they did not mention the ARC or go into it as they said they would (as far as I saw, I was skipping through looking for it). Would not be surprised if the sms was from the AFL Gestapo shutting it down on live TV.

this is why clubs need supporter groups like the EPL has. Put pressure on the AFL and RFC to make a statement. If they don't then we empty the cheer squad for round one. Put out an email that has no one show up to marvel games.

It was a mistake that cost a final. Acknowledging that would be a step too far for the AFL.

Can we get to the bit where Andrews lost the plot, ran forward of the mark while Big Sexy was legally kicking for goal. Something that has been routinely robustly and regularly enforced suddenly went to crickets. Why?

The media should be demanding the footage be shown, they’re the campaigners that pay billions to cover the game.
If it was Geelong or Essendon, AFL 360 would be going berserk about it.
