The umpiring error that cost us our season

The media should be demanding the footage be shown, they’re the campaigners that pay billions to cover the game.
If it was Geelong or Essendon, AFL 360 would be going berserk about it.
Gerard is too ****ing gutless to call out Kane and his silly calls. Just sits there and lets him dribble.

Next caller that rang made perfect sense in we need an AFL explanation re the ARC review and Gerard agreed with him. He's either too scared of Kane or strategically lets him go for the content

Gale won’t get near the joint … AFL to s**t scared what he’ll find

Gale has too much integrity

Gerard is too clever, he knows who butters his bread

Also explains his retraction of criticism of the ARC on 360, where with a strange meekness stating that he “initially overreacted”

As tiger fans we are not going to win the “popular vote” with oppo unfortunately. But at the absolutely very least it is grossly inadequate that the AFL have not released an official statement with their rational for overturning the goal. This would bring closure to the issue, and give a modicum of respect to the losing club

Given how many people are sinking the boots into RFC this week I desperately hope a final this weekend is again decided by an abject failure of the ARC

The umpire calls play on.
What I will say is that either Andrew’s has exceptional reflexes or the umpire was ok with him moving before he could possibly hear the play on call.
100% this. andrews has a habit of going early. gut feel is he is smart enough to get away with it coz 9 times outta 10 its a gunna be a goal anyway (easy shot).

"passionate" tiger Fans about their players - "support our boys! They fight till the end & deserve only all our love and respect! Its their fight that makes them great!"

The same fans when they are called upon to fight for the club themselves for once " Going over this will not change anything. Lets move on"

So F-ing gutless. Absolutely typical of the current times. Passionate about a cause until they are actually required to do more than just spray shit on the internet about it.

Pull your weight you campaigners. Not enough supporters are invested in this at all. For some of you, the result we got is exactly the result you deserved. Credit where its due, Dimma is at least staying strong in requesting the proof be provided. Where is the unchallenged support of him now?

So what are you doing about it?
Anything apart from hitting the keyboards a bit harder?

Tell us, lead us...

I have emailed, commented various times on their FB page & messaged the AFL everyday since this happened for the results - as well as emailed the club every few days asking them to continue to ask them to chase a result, as a member i think i deserve to understand why my team is no longer playing.
I have also emailed the Age on multiple occassions asking them to please make sure they follow it up as no other footy reporting association is even pretending to be engaged in the obvious corruption that happened.

I will do that on repeat until it happens. Thats all you need to do. Contact the league, the club & the associated media asking them to please report on the final outcome of the decision. That's all that is required/ To actually give a shit

Unfortunately, just bitching on bigfooty doesnt do anything. All the lovely support some of you put up here, unfortunately, it does utterly nothing in reality....sorry

Andrews anticipated, went early was already into his second step at play on, somewhat relieved when he realised that there was no free kick awarded.

So how do we fight these cheating flogs?

You make noise. You email the club to make sure they follow the AFL up for accountability. Then you contact the AFL themselves and do the same, then you email the Age & do the same.

There are a few journo's doing their job. One being Caro, for all the shit she cops, she is tougher and ready for a hard fight far more than these new crop of "Journo's".

Sometimes you’ve got to move on for the sake of your own mental health. I was fuming for a long time but once you realise that even if you ultimately get satisfaction from them admitting their error (which they won’t do) or confirming there’s no other footage, the result is not going to be changed.

So I can’t actually see what could possibly be done or what answers could be given that would
make me feel any better about the cluster f*ck that played out on Thursday night. There’s a good chance the outcome makes me feel even worse, so ultimately what’s the point?

There is justice in holding people to account for the errors they have made. We know the result of the game won't be overturned but if an independent body (like a court) reviewed the decision and said we were unfairly treated and have suffered damages as a result and the people involved held accountable we would at least be able to legitimately claim that that whole final series is compromised. This is why the AFL will never admit fault and it needs to go to an external party.

There are many situations where injustices are inflicted and the impact can never be undone, this doesn't mean that it's not worthwhile holding the people accountable.

The AFL want this circus to stop and for Hardwick to shut up and to apologise? Well Richmond/Hardwick the secrete vision, formula, ghost whispers, whatever it is then Hardwick can say sorry he was wrong and it can be put to bed that the AFL were right and it wasn’t a goal. End of story. Not that hard is it?

Ohh wait, still nothing from the AFL seven days later.

Nothing will be released betting companies

Now into Friday,still no replay.

AFL stalling until after the Semi's this weekend - hoping like mad that with these games played Tigers will lose interest....

Yep. It also sets the precedent that Richmond will not be accepting this kind of behaviour going forward and delegitimises the ability to rule of the corrupt scumbags involved. An apology is absolute poison to a tyrannical organisation. All the bread and circus tactics will be used to distract from this. We hold all the cards here as the AFL has no proof whatsoever. Failure to force an answer here will ensure that the abuse continues in all its forms.

Perfect opportunity to land a big blow against these ****ers. Could open a veritable floodgate.

If there was ever a perfect actual sliding doors moment for purple Barrett to publish this Friday it would have been the botched score review last Thursday for Tigers (& Lions too)

If it correctly gets called as Umps call then Tigers would be running out tonight whilst Lions would be slurping XXXX watching....
