Agreed - potential for a big upside there if he lives up to (my) expectations
plus with the draft picks we have, its likely right now they won't be better than Jono either. Plus its always good to have depth and if he gets healthy and can string games together I personally see him in our best 22

Wasnt sure where to post but list mgt thread seemed right. They can f*** right off

A lot will depend on what free agent we bring in, we may not be in a position to offer Doc and Schoenmakers new contracts. Adelaide would be keeping an eye on Ryan especially with McGovern looking elsewhere.

O'Rourke and Lovell get new contracts, both due for a change of luck and both fit a list profile we need to secure.

I can also see Ross Lyon enquiring about Ben Stratton especially with Dawson and Johnson leaving. Could net us Balic and a late pick.

Whitecross stays purely as a depth player, gives his all and is a great leader.

I think we let go Willsmore, Fitz, Surman, Hodge and Gibbo.

Elevate Glass and Cousins.

I'd rookie JOR. No one is going to come after him given his hammy issues and frees up a spot on our main list.

Around the time he got dropped earlier in the season. Also heard Lachie Whitfield could be on our doorstep at seasons end.

Phew, I was concerned we'd lose Sicily until you said that bit about Whitfield.

Sicily is off to Carlton, part of a agreement with those late trade swaps that finally helped us get O'Meara.

Naaaaah, wasn't he rumoured to be part of a trade to Carlton last year to get us a pick to help get O'Meara? Think wires are gettign crossed. If we wanted to do a deal we would ahve done it last year. Can't see Siss going.

Need to hold onto Graham Wright at all costs, he's our next most valuable asset after Clarko. As for actual list management, will echo most of what has already been said:

Luke Hodge: retire
Josh Gibson: retire (if not then trade)
Jack Fitzpatrick: retire
Luke Surman: retire
Shaun Burgoyne: play on (the champ easily has 1 more season left in him if the body holds up)
Grant Birchall: play on (really hoping that injuries this year doesn't mean he'll pull the pin early, we look so much more cohesive in the backline when he plays)
Brendan Whitecross: possibly trade? (love the bloke and the way he goes about it, he really deserved to be apart of the flags, but unfortunately life doesn't work out that way and I can't see him getting any senior footy at the club any time soon)
Tim O'Brien: re-sign
James Sicily: re-sign
Kieran Lovell: re-sign
Kurt Heatherley: re-sign (still a little raw imo but has done enough)
Blake Hardwick: re-sign
Jonathon Ceglar: re-sign
Ryan Burton: RE-SIGN RE-SIGN RE-SIGN
Kade Stewart: re-sign
Ryan Shoenmakers: re-sign (genuinely surprised at how well he's playing this year)
