There is a pretty scary possible timeline on the horizon, where Trump actually does all the stuff he’s promised to do plus who knows what else.

My fear is that the biggest losers will be America’s closest allies ie. Australia, UK, Western Europe and Japan and the biggest winners will be Russia, China and the gulf states. Ideologies and shared values have never counted for so little.

But trump is the most anti china guy around isn’t he?

Russia would be happy for sure but trump wants to hold china back and will actually try and do it openly

I for one welcome our new Chinese overlords. Can't possibly be any worse than the American ones.

I don’t think he is anti China. He’s very much pro super power and I think he resents America’s role as a global protector. I mean, what would I know, but I see a possibility where he throws half the world under the bus.

or it's just a bunch of fear mongering fueled by news organisations and social media. People like yourself and Chadwiko need to maintain some perspective. He isn't the new hitler, he isn't going to lock up the women from 'the view'. Take a breath and if you're that worried you should probably go speak to someone. it isn't healthy.

I’m just chatting dude and shooting the breeze. I honestly don’t give a ****. But I will say this: you go down the route of ‘people like yourself’ type shit and I’ve got you permanently pegged as an absolute ****stick.

Musk, Pichai, Thiel, Bezos don't count as tech bros?
Bezos not wanting WaPo to endorse presidential candidates doesn't mean he was for trump. He said the right thing. Just report the news. He isn't stupid. They need to be old media is dying.

Pichai congratulating him over the McDonalds stunt isn't an endorsement.

It's a far cry from 2020 when every tech billionaire was removing him from platforms and squashing favourable news. If anything most sat out for this one (probably because of Elon. The anti-Jack Dorsey this time around). I'm talking about Silicon Valley. A few top dogs aside they lean heavily towards voting for democrat candidates.

Recently more countries joined BRICS and have already signed trade deals especially with China.
No one trusts the US any more.

Coming from someone who's getting this worked up about another country's election, I'm not too fussed about getting "permanently pegged" as anything. When you're that emotionally invested in politics happening halfway around the world, I reckon your judgment meter might not be calibrated quite right.

You introduced the personal element, which suggests you’re the one a bit too emotionally invested. My opinion of you has nothing to do with global politics.

Bollocks mate.

In our domestic political culture, if the CEO of an ASX200 company called up a PM candidate during an Australian election to simply congratulate them for a successful PR stunt, and then allowed that anecdote to be repeated publicly in their campaign without clarification, it would be 100% considered an endorsement.

I just wanted you to relax. Nothing wrong with wanting the best for a fellow North supporter.

Stunning comeback by Trump and entirely predictable I feel. The Democrats like our own Labor party has been slowly hijacked by professional activists and sneering political elites. The things that matter to the vast majority of ordinary folk is the economy/cost of living and security and not agendas pushed by loudmouth activists and out of touch elites that have somehow attached themselves to a major political party.

I dont think it is comparable to Labor.

Cant help wondering if it all might have been different if kamala had just gone on joe rogan
Not that it would have made a difference….I did suggest she should have.

Couldn’t fit her schedule apparently but had time to appear on SNL.

Note to future Candidates, avoid SNL
