The worst day of my life

I think I saw it on the news and remember thinking how bloody unlucky that is for the poor woman. Now seeing said victim is one of our own just chills me to the bone.

I do recall what I saw on the news the big lebowski and I do remember being horrified.

Fingers, toes and every bloody thing else crossed mate!

(p.s. I'm glad the utterly senseless selfish prick from the other car has been arrested also.)

Hi everyone

The update is steady as she goes. I've been riding a massive roller coaster of emotions between despair and hope. All in a single day though nothing is actually changing.

The plan is still to start brining her out of the coma in the coming days. Only then will we know her prognosis.

Your support and the support of friends, family and colleagues has been touching.

That's really the only thing keeping me together. A script of Valium has kept the demons away at night.

Love u all.

Stay strong mate. Been there before and I'm absolutely praying for you.

I don't know you mate, but I'm absolutely staggered that your reaction is to get on here and remind others not to take for granted what they have. It may not mean much but I can honestly say I've been thinking about both of you every day since reading this. Keep boxing on.

Not taking candice for granted is something that has helped me deal with this. Every time I kiss her I do it five times. I bought her flowers on the Thursday night just because. And I told her I loved her numerous times that shit of a day. If I hadn't done those things I'd be even more broken than I am.

TBL,

Thinking and praying for you and your partner in these difficult times. Hope everything works out well, that Candice recovers fully and life returns to normal for you.

Well you're amongst family here tbl and I'm sure I'm not the only one here who's had you and Candice on their mind day and night since reading your OP. I've also most certainly taken heed from your reminder to not take our loved ones for granted. Despite tired kids tantrums and disagreements at work and home I've found myself taking a deep breath and not flying off the handle as I'm prone to do (usually due to living on 2 hours sleep per night).

You two will remain in our thoughts mate.

Hi TBL,

I know we don't know each other, but I really hope things take a turn for the better.

I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through right now.

Take care mate.

Keeping a regular eye on this thread for updates. Lets all hope and pray that the outcomes are better than expected. Gut wrenching for TBL and family. Can't begin to think how I would handle something like this. Stay strong mate.

TBL, I've had recent experience with two people who are dear to me being placed in induced comas and I'll say this mate... stay positive.

These people are good, very good, and the outcomes they can achieve from circumstances that are nothing short of terrifying to us laymen are worth the wait. Wait you will, and wait some more. If she doesn't come around the first or second time they drop the sedation take your ease, it took my dad four goes and a yanked out central line (messy) . Ask the liaison nurse anything and everything you can think of.

Best wishes TBL.
