Leggings are not pants (exercising excluded). Rule of thumb: if you wouldn't wear it without the leggings, then you shouldn't be wearing it with leggings. (A lot of girls seem to go the long top or super short skirt + leggings combo)

I don't think you can fault leggings at any stage if the legs and bum in them are are nice and shapely. :thumbsu:

Give in to the power of the leggings, Catfish Alley...you know you want to!

Never! I refuse :p To me, they just look like something you could have slept in. They seem lazy and comfortable which is just fine if you're at home or having a lazy day. But they're not something that make women look good. A fitted pair of pants looks way better - especially if you're at work.

Agree, I wouldn't class them as office attire. But for exercising, walking the dog, or, as I mentioned earlier, with a nice tunic and a pair of ballet flats zipping out for a coffee with a girlfriend, I think they're okay.

Absolutely agree. I just wouldn't plan on turning any heads :)

Regarding exercise, for me it's usually skins for cardio (which look awesome) or I-don't-give-a-**** 3/4 athletic pants with random top (jumper in winter). On hot days I might wear shorts of some variety.

Not a big fan of yoga pants.

I know you're transgender, but I thought you were a guy?

That's okay, on online forums guys sometimes assume I'm a guy, and girls the opposite. Transgender people are often rather conversant in a wide range of hobbies targeted more towards each gender (due to experience). On online forums men and women can tend to make those contrasting assumptions. It's cool. It's happened to me before.

Interesting read. It's a topic I'm not too familiar with, so good to hear a bit about the experience.

Thanks for sharing.

leggings are very unflattering to the bum - they either accentuate the fact you have a tiny bum, or a saggy bum, or a huge bum etc. At least Jeans etc help provide some shape/support whereas with leggings its all out there. Very few girls I would come across on a day to day basis would look good in leggings.

I'm also not a fan of leggings under a proper size dress or skirt, they just look terrible. Especially if they stop above the ankle, or if they are those ones that have a strap under your foot. *shudder*

3/4 pants are terrible on either gender

That said, you seem to be dressing for comfort, not to "look good" so opinions on whether it looks good or not are not relevant
