I think a pretty big part of the problem is that Trump supporters are delusionally one eyed. They will literally argue that the sky isnt blue if thats what Trump says because "fake news".

Im truly not sure how you convince people that they are actuvely voting against their own self interests if they refuse to hear reason.

The Latino vote in particular, hes openly said hes booting Mexican migrants, like pretty much verbatim and 45% of them still voted for him.

Watching LGBTIQ+ Trump voters was watching people opening the hen house door to a wolf and putting their arm around him to show him around.

Whatever and however hes managed to convince those two groups in particular that they arent part of the community they quite obviously are is the real magic to his campaign. The division hes created almost goes down to an individual level. Its truly remarkable, like some sort of super power.

There's a remake of the Sly Stallone movie, Cliffhanger, in production with Pierce Brosnan as the main character.

Why? The original was great. One of my favourite openings to a movie.

I hate when they remake good movies. Very few of them end up any better and usually a whole lot worse.

It's already worse because you already know that Sarah is going to fall.
Fair..call.
Pierce Brosnan as lead already wrecks it for me .

As a broad rule i have zero issue with remakes/reboots/re imaginings. To me it doesnt impact on the original (and if anything might make people check out the original anyway).

Pierce Brosnan as the lead for a ****ing Cliffhanger remake though... Hes gotta be in his 70s doesnt he? This feels like if they did the Gladiator sequel and just cast Rusty again.

Pierce Brosnan is 71, they may as well have just got Sylvester Stallone back to star in it as he is only 7 years older than him.

Theyre supposedly doing an American Psycho remake and casting Jacob Elordi, now THAT makes PERFECT sense to me.
They re did footloose..

From my understanding footloose was a low budget movie..could be wrong.
But they prob spend more on the re make they was 💩💩.

On the flip side .
Jason Bourne and gone in 60 sec etc were re makes aswell.

A quick search confirms Pierce Brosnan isn't playing the lead... Lily James is. They are gender flipping the roles, she's the mountaineer haunted by failure, Brosnan is her dad. This all seems fine to me, mountaineers don't actually have to be jacked monsters like Stallone.

Also, as a general rule, I think remakes work better on films that didn't meet their potential initially rather than classics. And while I have fond memories of Cliffhanger, it's not a classic and I think a reboot would work fine.

I actually quite liked the footloose remake. They got actual dancers plus Denis Quaid, Angie MacDowell and a young Miles Teller. It’s not really low budget (not that it would have cost a lot).

This makes MUCH more sense. Actually quite like the idea and really like Lilly.

I was watching a movie where a girl who thought she was a lesbian got off with a guy and had 'dick sex' for the first time.

It made me wonder if lesbians go through life being virgins.
