Absolutely love this. I get perma banned if my thoughts whilst driving were written here. How do you handle people that speed up at overtaking lanes then slow down to 95 once they're clear of them?

Had a 4 drive from Davenport to the houn valley in October.
Every overtaking lane was the same .
They would go over 110 .plus .then.

Around a 100 so 10k under in the normal road times..

Grrrr.

Doesn't fit the thread but this chat has reminded me of a little story. I once spent like an hour slowly inching my way forward, car by car, overtaking lane by overtaking lane, trying to pass this slow ****er up front. I finally managed to make it to the front only to hear the little shits in the backseat say they need the toilet. I could have left them there on the side of the road.

I like people watching and then making assumptions about their back story, particularly when out on the piss.

I work in public libraries. It's a great job for people watching. Most customers are happy to chat about themselves too.

I understand the mentality. You feel like you've achieved something with every overtake until you get to the front of the slow car. But it probably doesn't get you where you need to go quicker. Definitely not safer.

We have a double lane at the turn right which leads quite quickly 100m into the expressway on-ramp

My mates favourite saying is ''pick a lane pick a lane '' because
1. the lanes squiggle and if you arent aware you drift into one
2. if you choose wrong you may not get into the expressway on-ramp because my mate will speed up to block you

ie pick a lane pick the lane that you need not one thats convenient
“You can have any lane you like but it’s limited to one mate”

I think my frustration mostly comes from people either not planning their driving/direction and expecting others to get out of their way

Don't get me wrong. I'm not speeding to do this. I don't speed at all. I just ask to be able to do the speed limit.

I think his "Look, I have nothing against Welcome to Country ceremonies, but it would be better if we vetted their speeches" rant was my personal favourite.
